Hello Phoenix-Talon. Good to have ya back. The post count refreshes on every post. Even one's that were made in the past. Hope that makes sense.

And hey, can you seriously think about starting a thread regarding your beloved Eagles vs. the Foreskins? I would like to see your take on what you think it is going to take to beat em, and if you are confident about your last game of the season.

Hey Fletch, ...let's see if I got this right...

if Hos' post #2 on this thread is 19, 125, then his #5 should have been 19,126;
right? Otherwise, how could it remain unchanged once he made an additional post under the same thread?

BTW, I was thinking about making a new thread on the Skins vs Eagles game. No problem -- you know it will be controversial!

I think Travis Wilson will be a better pro if you are talking about using a 3rd or 4th rounder. He has better size 6'3" 220 lbs and Oklahoma WRs all have done well this year in Brandon Jones, Mark Clayton and Mark Bradley. Wilson had more TD's than all of them last year.

good call

I like New Mexico's Hank Baskett meself

I'm very intrigued by him as well... Seems like a Parcells kind of WR. It'll be interesting to see how he runs.

And BTW... If Watkins is really *that* fast... He sure won't be a fourth rounder. ;)

I guess it will come down to the combine, but he was clocked at that speed. Plus, no one's really talking about him, he's a little thin. But that's why he's a prospect.

Randy Moss was a little thin coming out, and if you ask me, he's still a little thin.

Example:

If I had zero posts, and started a thread, I would have one post. If I replied after someone else replys, my count on my first and second post would read "2". If you go back to your very first post here it will say that you have "however many you have now", not post #1.

Hope that helps.

Future at wide receiver is Terence Newman and Tom Crowder.

Okay, it's whatever third or fourth round 'steal' a la Lav Coles Bill can dredge up on draft day.

I had my hopes set on Santonio Holmes, but I know it ain't happening. Today in his pc Bill started with the 'I don't like to draft wide receivers high' stuff. (paraphrase)

The only hope for a high ranked wo pick is Jerry making it an issue. Like Bob Kraft did. :)

Baskett... Though if Watkins is that fast, I like him, too. :)

We had a discussion on another board about Baskett... He sounds he could be a really good one *if* he's fast enough. But by all accounts, his game speed is plenty good. Ask Missouri. :)

last year's draft, dallas should have got jerome mathis, parcells clocked him at 4.25 during the 40 yard draft. look at him now, pro bowl on his rookie year

as a return man, its hard to draft a WR for returns only

Considered the best deep threat in the country is very interesting. I don't know, I just know he won't go until around the 4th, which is a low risk situation for us.

We can get all of our real shopping done in the first 3 rounds, and then get a bargain in the 4th.

10 rec. for 209 yards, and 3 TDs is definitely a big day

Baskett is projected as a 2nd rounder, and if you think he can come in now and blow up, I say do it.

But if you see something else like an OT there, I say go ahead and do that , and then take a chance on a kid like Watkins.

I wish Maurice Stovall would come out this season at 6'5" with good speed and great hands he has been fun to watch this season

Is Stovall planning on going to grad school and skipping an NFL future?

He's huge, but the SR is that he doesn't have top end speed and misses easy catches. With that said, I still wouldn't mind taking a look at him.

Nice find. I've been talking about this kid for months.

His skillset reminds me of Mike Sherrard coming out of college... great speed, but awfully skinny for the NFL...

If he can put on 15-20 pounds while keeping his speed, he might be very good...

That said, my hot target at WR is Martin Nance of Miami-Ohio...

Phoenix, on this board when you make a new post, the post count changes on ALL of your posts... that confused me for a while, too... but if you go back to my first post ever to this board, it will also list my current post count...

Great find, I like him. He was my first option at Wide Receiver, I think he's projected as a second rounder.

Scouting Report - Martin Nance

6'5 - 210 - 4.35/40
Projected round (2)

Pros: Incredible size-speed combo at 6'5" and is rumored to have run 4.33. Can totally dominate games with his ability. Will use his size to fight off receivers for the ball. Is a great red-zone target (14 TDs this year) and rarely drops balls. Reminds me of a more polished version of Plaxico Buress and should be a top player n the NFL. Very consistent with at least 5 catches every game his senior campaign.
Cons: Average leaping ability (34.5 inches); was injured seriously in the 2004 season which forced him to miss all of the season. Sometimes he catches the ball more with his body than his hands. Can lose his focus sometimes and have an off game.
