I typically hate these threads, however, due to my excitement of our pick tonight and us having 4 "good" CBs on our roster the question has to be raised - does anyone see the possibility of Scandrick moving to FS long term? Sure, he got burned in man coverage plenty of times but has seemed to play zone well .. and for his small build, he sure lays the wood (I would throw out a Darren Woodson comparison here but let's be honest, that would be an injustice to Woodson.) The most logical position is obviously trading Jenkins during the draft but if that doesn't happen, could OScan fill the billet of the S position that many of us were hoping Barron could fill before Claiborne fell in our lap?

No one. We have neglected the position for a decade. Scandrick is too small to play safety.

Brandon Taylor from LSU in the third?

or....perhaps Bacarri Rambo with a supplemental pick?

Shouldn't be addressed this year in the draft IMO. This is a very weak safety class...they'd probably be another Pat Watkins/Mike Hamlin

We missed the boat 3-4 years ago. We have no safeties being developed and none coming in the drafts.

For me it was Barron or no one. Not a huge fan of any other safety.

i agree.

I would rather take another CB and try to convert him to FS than take one of the remaining safeties. Obviously there's no guarantee that would work either since we've tried it with DeAngelo Smith, Alan Ball, and AOA and that's failed too

Brandon Hardin, Oregon State, 6'3 220 4.43
- former CB, great STer and can lay the wood

Markelle Martin, Oklahoma State, 6'1 210 4.49
- rangey center fielder who reminds me of James Washington with his willingness to hurt ... uh, hit; considered the best safety in draft before he got hurt

Janzen Jackson, McNeese State, 6'0 195 4.61
- off field issues and poor measurables sent this playmaker to bottom of the draft; once considered a can't miss 1st round prospect when he played for Tenn

Pool is a good safety... I like what Sensabaugh brings.

..and that is a FACT or the Jets would still have him: sensy is serviceable and that is all.....Pool isn't much better than Elam was: hot garbage really.

I am a Tennessee fan as well as Cowboys fan and can tell you that Janzen Jackson could have been as good as Barron... Dude just couldn't keep his head on straight. Eric Berry said he was better than he even was and the best defender UT had. If we could take a late round run at him I would. If he flames out so be it but he has 1st round talent

Pool is fine, next year's draft has good safeties maybe even some that are half as good as the mighty Barron.

Harrison Smith is the best instinctive safety in this draft, Janzen Jackson could be a steal if he can get his act together. I have been saying Harrison Smith all along.

He is a very good safety

he got picked at 29 by Minnesota (traded up w/ B-More)

And going by this draft, both Barron and the number two cornerback went very high in the draft. Dallas got the very best coverage blue chipper available. What, Dallas was to get two of those in the first round as well?

For this fan, my feet still haven't hit the ground yet...:starspin

Pool is serviceable along with Sensabaugh. Barry Church is decent as well.

Thanks, I stopped paying attention after we picked Claiborne. I figured Smith would go in the 2nd or 3rd, just because he played in a defense that was okay, in which he was the best DB and Manti Teo is the best ILB, I love the Irish and the Huskers, so Denard may be another CB we draft.
