Shouldn't be addressed this year in the draft IMO. This is a very weak safety class...they'd probably be another Pat Watkins/Mike Hamlin

I agree... It certainly doesn't look like there's anybody out there that could unseat Pool or Sensebaugh... And if you're just gonna pick a Safety again next year, then why waste that pick this year... Maybe in the late rounds (5-7) if they're the BPA...

- former CB, great STer and can lay the wood

Markelle Martin, Oklahoma State, 6'1 210 4.49
- rangey center fielder who reminds me of James Washington with his willingness to hurt ... uh, hit; considered the best safety in draft before he got hurt

Janzen Jackson, McNeese State, 6'0 195 4.61
- off field issues and poor measurables sent this playmaker to bottom of the draft; once considered a can't miss 1st round prospect when he played for Tenn

This guy sounds intriguing, but we don't have the luxury of signing players that will basically be "red-shirted" in their first season... We did that with Bruce Carter last year and it cost us... Now we're a year into the Carter pick and still have no idea if he can play...

I love "stealing" guys like Sean Lee that have talent/potential far beyond their draft position, but we're not that good, we need guys that can play today...

I think we are gonna play Jenkins, Claiborne, Carr, and Sensabaugh most downs.

I think 3 corners and one safety will work in this league in most cases.
