Would you guys rather have 22 year old john ridgeway on the roster or this 30 year old?

We’re basically adding another Bohanna.

Now we need our LBs to actually step up and make some plays…if they don’t, nothing will change against the run.

Right now Hankins, but a year or two from now maybe Ridgeway. I just do not get the Cowboys letting Ridgeway go like that. There were other guys on the roster they could have waived to make room on the roster. DT has been a position of need for some time. Ridgeway was insurance in case Bohanna doesn't pan out. Or if Bohanna does and Ridgeway does too the Cowboys would have a force in the middle of the DL.

I am not suggesting Ridgeway is going to be a great player, but guys like Hill and Gallimore are already who they will ever be, which is Jags. Maybe Ridgeway turns out to be something a little better.

Not sure, but since he has been playing. It is not like Peters, siting around and trying to keep in shape, if he was.
Hankins should already be in good enough shape. Just a matter of picking up the scheme and the defensive calls.

But should be easy….see that guy with the C on his helmet…knock him to the ground….

Not with Washington. Allen and Payne are the starters. Ridgeway will be a backup.

That is what a 4-3 Defense is suppose to do. Either penetrate and let the LBs clean up (miami 4-3) or hold up and protect the LBs to tackle like a tackling machine (Landry 4-3/Flex defense).

Watkins was pushed back 3-4 yds every run play and Hill was overpowered regularly getting pancaked at least once on Sunday. We need all the help we can get at DT.

Me personally? I would like Ridgeway since I feel like he would fit the role very well for the next several years.

But Ridgeway is not an option any more, so I'm not upset that they got a guy who not only has proven to be a great run defender in the NFL, but seems to be the best run defending DLineman on the team today.

Again, I think I would rather have Ridgeway. But that ship has sailed. The only path is forward.
