I would prefer the Cowboys score 40+ points with 200 passing yards than scoring 20 or less points with 300 passing yards.

So far there have been 14 times this season where a team had over 300 passing yards but scored 20 or less points. Their record is 1-12-1`

Meanwhile, four teams have passed for 200 or less yards in a game while scoring 40 or more points. They are 4-0.

Teams have passed for 350-399 yards 11 times so far this season. They are 5-6

Teams have passed for 300-349 yards 47 times so far this season. No joking, they are 23-23-1.

Passing yardage is no indication of offensive success. That is, final passing yardage. I suspect the numbers are much better if there was significant passing yardage in the first half.

Successful teams that have built a lead tend to pass less as the game progresses.

A third possible reason is that the Cowboys don't have to. A pretty strong argument is the fact that they are 9-3.

If the Cowboys were 3-9, I might be persuaded that this is a problem. However, presently, it's not.

Our QB room sucks. Don’t know why this comes as a shock, nor is this news. Anyone here who does not want to see that is blinded by hopeless optimism that Dak will someday rise from inexistent ashes and become the next Patrick Mahomes, which many here believe is a monger he can reach, which is simply not true. I’m more likely to win the mega millions.

I think the passing game is pretty bland. Heck, the entire offensive playbook is pretty bland. How many times do we have to watch the 2-yard bootleg to a TE to know that it's pretty much a wasted down?

In me lifetime I would like to see a world in one peace and a vertical passing attack by Dallas.

At first I thought you were a logical poster now I get the sense you're trying to be misleading.

Patrick Mahomes is the only QB with an avg of over 300 yards per game passing. We also tend to run a lot more when we're up, and still up scoring. What matters is passing efficiency, and how well you do when we do pass. We've become the best 3rd down offense in the league, a product of our passing game.

Also all of our wins we tend to get up big early in all of our wins.

Here is a stat for you

Since last season started Dallas has had 3 games where they scored at least 50 points with Dak at QB.

The rest of the NFL has 3 total in that same span

Cowboys use run and pass to move the ball and have been successful, we are converting 3rd downs at a high clip and they are #3 in the NFL in redzone offense. The 300 yard passing stat means nothing.
Right now more interested in this team making it to the SB and winning, not individual stats.

Literally had a dang near 4500 passing season last year, it’s not like we can’t throw. I don’t get it do we want balance or do we want stats?

Also, rarely do passing yardage leaders win the SB. It’s been proven to not be a sustainable winning strategy. The way we win now is much more reliable, you just need to make crucial plays in crucial moments; not pass for 400 yards.

its a lose lose situation...we pass for a lot, and they complain why are we passing, we should run. we run a lot and they complain we are not a passing team. misery is what I call it. some people are never happy and permanently misreable inside. sad life if you ask me.

Frankly I don't think some even want this team to win a SB they are more interested in being right. When Aikman was here he hardly ever threw for 300 yards because as he said wins are more important than his own personal stats.
