@Rockport posted a video yesterday where Jesse Holley was talking abt the route concepts in Kellen’s offense. He basically said most teams will have one receiver that is responsible to win his matchup while the other side will have scheme in place to help them get open. He said in the Cowboys offense all receivers are expected to win their route without much scheme help. He went on to say this is when the offense bogs down because there is no where to go with the ball. I found it kind of interesting because teams that can stop our run game will also usually snuff out the pass game. No run game makes PA ineffective and if what he is saying is accurate it correlates to what happens when our offense faces good defenses. Take it FWIW

Eventually the QB has to loosen up that defense by making those tighter window throws also.

The problem with that is the Cowboys have lost the TOP in most games this year.

Try again. Maybe excusing the QB will be more successful next time. May I recommend blaming the scheme?

Blaming the scheme for what? If you look at total yards since Dak came back, it's roughly the same minus the Lions game. If you look at some of his 300 yard games from last year, it's roughly the same total yards. So what difference does it make? Besides that, in more cases than not, it's the losing team with over 300 yards passing trying to catch up. If you're going to gain around 430 yards, what difference does it make how the run/pass yards are split up?

How does it feel to know you're going to lose a bet against someone that you think knows nothing about football?

If you cared about winning you wouldn't be such a Dak homer. Maybe you care about participation trophies instead?
I care about winning. We are 9-3. And going to the playoffs. And I am on record multiple times saying if we you know what the bed again in the playoffs. This team needs to draft Dak's replacement. Not a Dak homer at all. I was here cheering when Rush was winning games too. Because unlike you. I dont really care who is under center as long as this team is winning.

What's more important is what's the breakdown of plays? run vs pass? That's the more important stat. You have to consider a few more things:
1. Cooper Rush
2. Our points differential also is a reason because we are not having to pass alot at the end of games. We can just run the clock out.

Last year, guys were screaming about Dak and his garbage time stats. So What side are we going to sit on? Dak sucks because of garbage time stats or Dak sucks because he's not throwing 300 plus yards a game?

I think the passing game is pretty bland. Heck, the entire offensive playbook is pretty bland. How many times do we have to watch the 2-yard bootleg to a TE to know that it's pretty much a wasted down?

Lol lol lol lol someone finally said it!!!! It's so obvious, I don't know how teams don't see it coming. Let's not forget the wasted pass plays to Zeke for 1 yard or the WR screens that never work, just toss it out of bounds

I'll say it again...

If you really cared about winning you'd not get so up on regular season success and would expect better in the playoffs. Regular season winning is nothing to brag about at all. Team with losing records can make the playoffs.

Do you really care about actual winning? Or do you just care if we make the playoffs?

Anything less than the NFCCG this year is just wasted draft spots.

AGREED!

I care about both. Like I said. If Dak and this team crap the bed in the playoffs. Try and move up in the draft and draft Dak's replacement.

You cant say you care about winning and then when the team is winning say "oh I meant the playoffs" Because you werent singing that tune when Rush was winning games.

They won't do that though.

You and I both know they're not going to do anything regarding Dak at QB no matter if we win or lose.

They will instead do business as usual, maybe get rid of a coach or two, and then try again next year. It's the Cowboy way.

Winning is all that matters, but there are different levels of winning. We've established that we can win in the regular season, we know that, so now do it in the tournament when it really matters.

Ill give you a like for that because I agree with everything you just said. I want to see this team win when it matters. Period.

Tooooo many people are satisfied with simply winning the division or making the playoffs.

They believe that your job should be safe if you can win the division or make play the playoffs. Anything after that is just icing on the cake.

I'm not saying that you're like that, but you and I both know there are posters here that think that way.

Absolutely there are.

I am honestly just happy Tyron is back. I dont think many realize that even 80 percent Tyron at LT and Tyler moving to LG is going to drastically improve this already good/great running game.
