Folks, instead of reliving the past, why not go after some new blood?

Jeremy LeSueur (of the Broncos) is only 25.

I posted a list of available safeties......show me some of that new blood that would be worth going after. ;)

Something tells me a trade is in the works for a Saftey.

Hopefully a RT is available in free agency, did anyone ever sign Scott Gragg?

Personally I'd rather have LeFluer back than Edwards.

Sorry Cbz but this one I just can't go along with. Edwards was never any good at anything in my book and I really do not want him back. Luckily BP seemed to see it the same way when he didn't even offer him a contract at the minimum so we shouldn't have to deal with him as a Cowboy again.

Parcells is not going to bring back any scrubs that he finally got rid of from the Campo days. Won't happen.

I don't know about a trade. I think we will pick up a FA for backup but I think Davis has the job.

RT does not seem to be the problem at this point; Pettit has the job and BP's confidence. We will know more after the SD game when things get serious. Our biggest OL weakness right now is depth at the LT position.

I feel good that we are now looking at the backup positions as the biggest weaknesses instead of the starters.

I doubt if he brings him back either......but considering what's out there and barring a trade..it's a thought.

Mario can hit ......that would give us three safeties that can hit like LBs

Seriously I think you are under estimating Mario's toughness.

Haha!!

By thicker you also mean shorter right????

I don't think he can take the pounding FS takes. Didn't Mario have some shoulder problems in the past?

I'm not so sure how smart it is to go into the season with an undrafted rookie starting at RT. A veteran back-up would be an outstanding roster move at this point.

Pettiti wasn't undrafted...we got him in the 6th. Subtle difference I agree, but none-the-less...and Tucker is technically a vet backing him up; he is a third year vet.

How smart it is I don't know but Parcells has played rookies on the line before and if he is satisfied I am too. (I can't believe I'm talking about Parcells like that...too much kool-aid)

If not for the injuries, LaFleur would've been a solid contributor for years...

I thought that's what I did. :)

Jeremy LeSuer is only 25. An above average Cb in Michigan who was maybe not fast enough for the pro's (4.5) but fast enough for the safety position. What hurt him was the fact that he was hurt all of last season and that Jerry Rice is probably taking his spot on the roster this season (which can change if Rice decides to call it quits tomorrow).

Very true......it is a shame his career was cut short.

I would not be opposed to bringing LeSuer in......not at all. I would prefer the younger player. Mario was a after thought.....
I thought I would throw his name out there and duck. :) I felt obligated to argue for him.... ;)

I don't think it matters who we bring in at this point at FS. It's Keith Davis' job to lose. Unless of course we trade for Ed Reed!:pray2: lol

I agree, it was just an attempt to be funny. LaFluer didn't have the best hands, although his stats after his 3rd year compared favorably to past TEs. He was a devastating blocker. I wish his back had stayed healthy.

No need to duck CB. Right now most of us would settle for Edwards over what we have. No disrespect to KD ofcourse. We simply need some depth.;)
