Obviously we have an identity on offense as a monsters of the midway offensive line. We have an home run hitter in Zeke. But how do you think we are viewed offensively by other teams?

Difficult to stop, and I'm not being sarcastic.

Running team that uses the middle of the field to great effect with intermediate routes.

Unpredictable. We can hit you with the pass/run/special teams, you just never know.

Yeah. Especially when we pass often on 1st down. It really becomes problematic for a defensive coordinator.

Our running game is more explosive than ground and pound.

I'm not explaining our offense in my view here. Others see us as a run first team moving the chains with Zeke and Dak running...i.e. ground and pound

If I'm a defensive coordinator, I don't know how to approach Dallas. If you can stop the run, then maybe it's a plus. If you take all the small stuff away, I recall Prescott's preseason video where he was hitting bomb after bomb.

Bad situation for defensive coordinators to be in.

The whole "identity" thing is bit silly and simplistic.

I challenge you to consider: Make a list of 10 NFL teams and ask fans around the league--or even players--to describe that team's "identity"... What you'll get is a bowl of mush.

What is the 'identity' of the Packers? Giants? Raiders? Steelers? Patriots?

More often what you'll get with such questions is the impression of a team's uniform colors...or something about the nickname of player or unit. Pressed to come up with a team's "identity" a fan might latch onto the team's most identifiable star.

The notion that a team should have a clear identity is even worse than silly. It's misguided. NFL teams are looking to build a balanced, diversified offense and a no-hole defense. Such a team defies identity labels.

Mostly a run oriented team with good short and intermediate passing. Not an extremely vertical team or explosive but very methodical.

Focal points on receiving are the slot and tight end.

Agreed all around and while people are pretending defending this team is such a puzzle, I think the approach is rather simple. Sell out on the run, man up the WRs and make the QB beat you down the field.

Like what we are. I doubt anyone lives in fear of the passing game.
