Our playoff chances -not as good as we thought?

Assuming we get no other help (like the Eagles losing), then if the Giants win out and we split the last 2..........we would be sitting home.

However, a byproduct of us winning last night is that it forces the Vikes to play their starters in week 17 against the Giants. It is no longer a gimmie for the G-men.

Basically it takes one Giant loss and one Cowboys win to clinch.
Why do the Vikes have to play their starters the last game?

Both NO and Minny will play at noon in week 17. Assuming they both win all their games to that point, Minny will go into the game knowing that if NO loses and they win, they get HFA.

And since they're playing at the same time? Yeah, Minny is going to be playing to win.

The Saints have 1 loss to an NFC team, the Vikes have one loss to an NFC team and one loss to an AFC team.

The Saints last 2 games are against NFC teams.

If the Vikes win out and the Saints lose one more the Vikes win the tie break and are the #1 seed.

Correct?

Denver will beat philly.......and Washington, will own Giants......mark my words

with our back against the wall...this team will not lose

Denver is going to beat Philly and lost to the Raiders at home today?

If we win out, we won't be the wildcard...we'll be the NFC East Champions.

If we lose in Washington, win in Philly, and the giants win out, we'll have the same record and they have the tie breaker.

If we lose in Washington and win in Philly...and philly loses one other game, we'll be tied with Philly and have the tie breaker over them.

So many possibilities right now.

I still think 10-6 wins a wild card, but beating the Skins and the Eagles at home will give us the division title no matter what anyone else does...period.

The Philly game is in Dallas. We already beat them in Philly.

It wouldn't surprise me.

Back in October the Eagles schedule in late November and the month of December looked so brutal with the Falcons, Giants, and Broncos on the schedule. All three of those teams took a turn for the worst and made the Eagles late schedule nothing but cake

The Broncos are fighting for their playoff life now. Chargers are 10-3. If the Broncos lose another game and Chargers win, San Diego clinches the division.

The Broncos are now trying to hold on to that last wild card spot at nine wins. With about four teams at 7-7, don't think the Broncos can have a let down, especially with one game left. If they win that game against Phillyh, they're in as a wild card and possibly can rest their starters a week before the wild card playoff game.

If our chances are not that good then the giants chances are much worse. They need to win out yet in the meantime have lost 6 of their last 7 games.

It don't matter how desperate you are as a team if you have below averge QB and a weak defense

the Broncos will not have home-town officiating to help their cause next week, the game is in Philthy. There's no telling how the teams match-up, but if I were betting money it wouldn't be on the Broncos...

It does not matter what the Eagles do. They can lose their next 2 games and they are still in with their win today. It is just a matter of what seed they have.

Week 17 will decide the division winner.

wow. Think about that.

Then we get to play the Eagles again the very next week. YAY!

it does matter what the eagles do because they are still alive for a 2 seed

The Chargers have already clinched the division. The Broncos are playing for a wild card spot right now and they do need this one. With a loss they jump into the jumbled mess of 7 loss teams in the AFC.
