The Zebras love throw flags.
Zebras love to throw flags at teams that have a reputation for sloppy plays.
The Cowboys are the poste child for sloppy and stupid penalties at his the worst time.
Tyler Smith was a penalty machine in College. Lead division 1 in penalties.
The Zebras were all over him last night.
The continuation of this embarrassing reputation will sink this team
McCarthy has to employ some of Jimmy’s tactics. You mess up, you are of the team
Otherwise this is going to be a continuation of the last four year. Longhorn w just an appetizer for the strip shirted.

His reputation is earned, he holds, bottom line . It has nothing to do with who we are as a team or franchise, there is no bias.

Being the most hyped, polarizing, scrutinized team in the league draws attention. Despite denials to the contrary, resentment DOES exist, and Dallas is watched more closely. It’s kinda like the NBA. When dishing out fouls, who gets the calls, Michael Jordan (Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers), or Rasheed Wallace (Dallas)?

Jimmy only cut fringe players like John Roper & Curvin Richards.

those refs were horrible.
but i'm sure they didn't ref any of the tulsa games.
last night was typical for that crew more than what tyler smith did in college.
all that crew needed to see was the ☆.

I thought the officiating overall was pretty bad too. Not just the penalties, some of which were a little ticky-tack, it was ball spotting, clocking and little things. I suppose they have to work of some rust too.

Was it a good idea to draft the most penalized player in the NCAA when you want to cut down on penalties? He already has 2 holding penalties in his first game against practice squad and backups, what is going to happen when he goes up against the starters?

We're going to find out pretty quickly if this was a good move.

There is no ref conspiracy. Smith, however, could develop a reputation if he is not careful.

Our teams don't seem to have high football IQs since
Parcells left.

Got news for you, mate .. THEY ALL HOLD. They just don't all get called. Anyone besides me notice how each time Dallas had a large play, here comes a flag? And .. did you notice how, once the game was well decided, there was a small rash of flags on Denver? No? Watch the replay.

We want to enforce Roger's vendetta against JJ for the whole "insurrection JJ led a few years ago but, we don't want the final flag tally to be too out of whack ..

Flags are fat mikes fault and nobody else. Yes penalties will happen but when it gets out of hand it’s the HC number one job

8-10 penalties: on the high side, still showing a bit of a team problem.

Add 3 or 4 because of the youth in their first preseason game. Dallas is one of the league’s youngest teams.

Add 2 or 3 atrociously bad and/or ticky-tak flags.

Add 3 or 4 simply because the Dallas Cowboys are scrutinized much more closely.

PS Game 2 prediction: 8 to 12
