The run blocking was great when they didn't stack the line and run blitz
No oline can block more players than you have on the oline
You have to throw the ba down the field and back then off

Thank you.....Glad somebody said it.........Football 101 in session :)

I think we've all seen what Randle does too when the line doesn't help him out. Let me tell you... It's very similar to Demarco and nothing to brag about. I believe Randle's yardage was negative in the second half. No? I think the second half may have been enough to get Christine Michael active. We shall see.

well ok in that regard, I do agree with you, but the reason in this game was more to do with Atlanta stacking the line knowing Weedens weakness.

but saying that, I am all for going with Christine Michael and seeing what he can do. I am also definitely all for going with Cassel as a starter (assuming he knows enough of this offense of course, cant be any worse than Weeden). We might as well see what these guys can do because frankly winning is gonna be tough going anyways.

That's not true either. Murray was applauded by our coaches for being productive against stacked boxes. JG would say it himself that teams knew we were going to run and we dared them to beat it. Once we got a lead we ran. We lost a good lead today because we couldn't run once they adjusted.
I agree Dave going forward with Weeden as QB the Falcons gave every team we face until Romo's return a blueprint how to stop this offense.

that is fair enough, but like Randle and McFadden, Murray did need help from the oline and your response says alot about the oline of last year as well. The Oline this year is not as good as last year and that is apparent.

Offensive line was a hell a lot better last year than this year. They've been one of the worst run blocking units in the league so far.
I wouldn't say they're the worst but the RBs we have now imo don't fit the running scheme that Dallas run which is power running in the first half the oline was taking the Falcons lunch money and in the second half the offense in general couldn't adjust to what Atlanta was doing defensively in which they started dictating to offense what they wanted them to do and as long as Weeden is QB this will continue.

Agreed, but what has changed with the O line? I just think Murray's style complemented the oline and vise versa. I just don't think change of pace backs are going to do it week in and week out like JG was hoping for.

The boxes were stacked plenty when we were in the lead and running the ball in the second half last year. Were obviously missing Romo and Dez, but we ran it so so in week one and two as well. Something is off, some say O-line, last week it was because we were behind, this week its stacked boxes. Bottom line is up 28-14 with this O-line we should get the win.

well yeah, I agree something is off. Been thinking Randle may able to do it, but not sure. Think maybe we should warm Christine Michael up and let him get some real playing time. See what he can bring.
Also have noticed some decline in our Oline. they don't seem to be creating many holes in the line.

Yes I agree, we should definitely win with 28 points but our defense could not hang on. Atlanta's RB was wearing them down badly! Something I wish our RB could do. Maybe with R. Mclain, R. Gregory, Hardy coming back may help them out.

I think we should get C. Michael and Matt Cassell ready to play ASAP.

I am beginning to believe this. I mean imagine if we had that guy Devont Freeman or say Eddie Lacey running for us....

That is why I think Michael going forward would be a better fit and if not there will again be plenty of RBs in the upcoming draft this coming April let's just hope they draft one this time.
