no we avg passing the ball 32 time and avg running it 27 a game.

There you go again, using rational proven facts -vs- overexaggeration to carry an agenda. Keep it up and those that need to make stuff up to make a point are not going to like you much.

Seriously the team scored 70 points in two game. Who cares as long as we win games.

Well when teams take away the passing game then everyone is going to care. you want to make sure your clicking on all cylinders when it's time to make a playoff run

After 40,000 posts you know better than that. We are FANS! Rational thought goes right out the window sometimes. I know it has happened to me.

I agree... and I worry about that happening... but at the same time, what we are doing now is working, and it's working pretty well.

We're averaging 411 yards per game right now and Romo has tossed one pick in the last six games.

Whatever we're doing is working right now, don't screw around with success.

Some of it is on Garrett, when is the last time he ran on second down after we got stuffed on first down? That is the time to break tendencies and run a draw imo. He has to do a better job of setting up the runs, instaed of just calling plays.

Just take what the defense is giving you.....

IMHO i dont think we have such a dominate run offense that we can just dial up a running play and succeed........as witnessed against both Atlanta and the Seahawks.

At one point in the game yesterday....we ran and got stuffed (again) and Witten went crazy yelling at the sidelines....

The players know....if a team is run blitzing.......there are better ways to attack that then just running off tackle......nothing is wrong in trying to run a screen or a quick slant...

Our OL is better at pass blocking then run blocking IMHO.

We need a running game......but we shouldnt force our running game....this offense is set up that the pass sets up the run......not vice versa....

Yes it's an exaggeration (Glad some figured that out) but no it's not an "agenda," nor is it "hating on Garrett." I want my team to win but I see patterns that fail. This propensity for high passing works against the weaker teams but it hasn't worked down the stretch nor has it worked against tougher opponents.

Take 2007 for instance. We went 13-4 but fizzled out in December. Then the final drive in the playoffs against the Giants, we kept going for the big quick strike and it failed. There was still enough time on the clock to run a few short plays instead of finding ourselves in 3rd and long as we do so many times now.

2008 was an injury year, one of which where we lost Romo for 3 games. Why? Because he was getting drilled. How did that happen?? Because we were running a bunch of pass plays that took to long to develop that just weren't always there and Romo took a pounding.

Everybody keeps talking about what works but ignores what doesn't. Passing often only works against certain teams yet it's not a recipe for success against every team. Right now the offense is clicking with the use of Austin and perhaps the chemistry is better with him than it was with TO. I'm hoping this may be the catalyst to get us over the hump but I also see the folly that comes with throwing the ball to much. Romo was 12 for 23 on his pass attempts in the 1st half which tells me nothing has changed in that regard. Romo is still up and down and constantly putting the game in his hands can haunt us. We blew out weaker teams before and we'll continue to do so, it's the stronger teams that have me concerned. We gotta protect the team by knowing when to lean on the run and not abandoning it when it appears to fail. Give it time...

i think the play you're talking about was at the 2min mark to end the half.

that was a lot of confusion on that play. kosier went to pull on that play. then colombo took his man, then had to pick up kosier's guy. no way it works like that.

I like to see the offense put up points and that is what they are doing. I think Dallas is showing good balance in the offense we avg a little over 27 carries a game while avg 32 passes a game

This will be the week. Garrett has been hiding our 3 headed monster a bit running mostly gimmick, misdirection runs. He also has been setting up the run with the pass, we need to flip that against the Egals.

I think we are finally gonna see a strong committment to our run game, with more power formations. We need to protect Romo in this hostile environment, and JG will do just that. These philthy turds are in for a surprise when we come back in town.

We run those gimmick, draws, misdirection because thats what Dallas does well. We don't block the power runs very well. It seems to me that our offense is just fine. Didn't we have like 130 yards on the ground last week? Not to shabby if you ask me.
