idk dude, here are our passing game weapons:

TO
Witten
Bennett
Crayton
Austin
Felix Jones

bennett, crayton, austin, and felix jones are weapons in the passing game.

it's TO and witten, then everyone else.

felix jones maybe, but they haven't throw him a pass. bennett is too green, he' doesn't run patterns. crayton is too slow to scare anyone. and austin is still green as well.

compared to the run game

davis
colombo
gurode
flozell
bennett
witten
curtis
TO

those guys all block very well right now. then you got barber and felix jones running the ball.

even with proctor. i'd rather depend on him doing his job, then the others getting open.

So basically what it comes down to is that the offense is built to run but they don't even realize it? Seems like that to me. I also did not understand why we didn't run to the right more in that game if we did want to run the ball at all in that game. I agree with Bob. I think garrett outcoached himself. You would think he's kicking himself over that gameplan.

I knew we were in trouble when a redkin kept protor upright after the runner was tackled helping proctor to avoid a possible injury!

You guys may be right about Garrett outcoaching himself. That's why I pointed it out, but I don't know. It seems too simple. He might have also thought that we needed to get away from our tendency of running right the first three weeks. The thing is, whatever his motives, there was still time to adjust when he realized it wasn't working, and he never did that. This gives me a sense that he had gone into a sort of panic mode, and wasn't aware at all of the directional disparity. IOW, that it wasn't planned.

Barber rips off 15 yards running to the right, we score on the next play to tie the game, then the Skins get a FG to go up by 3 with 7:30 left. We take over at our 20, and proceed to throw the ball 8 of the next nine plays, with the only run being a reverse to Owens. It's like Barber's 15-yarder never happened. Garrett got a wake up call, then just hung up and went back to sleep.

I don't think I like either explanation.

2 2nd and 10 DAL 35: off LT for no gain. Lined up as a fullback, Curtis gets knocked back at the point of attack by McIntosh, who stops Barber for no gain

3 2nd and 5 DAL 41: up the middle for -1. Another delayed handoff, but "FB" Curtis goes flying through the LOS before Barber even has the ball in his hands. LB takes a path through Curtis' wake and nails Barber for a loss.

6 1st and 10 WAS 39: up the middle for 3 more. If Witten holds his block just a little longer, could have been more.

7 1st and 10 WAS 25: around right end for 15 yards. Only the second run to the right all day. It would be the last. Davis and Colombo open a huge hole for Barber's only big gain of the day. We scored on the next play.

8 2nd and 2 DAL 27: off LT for no gain. This was the first play after we let the play clock almost run out on us, and had to burn the time out. Curtis at FB was supposed to lead Barber to the left, but was met in the backfield by McIntosh and knocked backwards again.

One thing I don't understand and maybe someone can explain it to me. How come Wade doesn't step in on Garret and question his playcalling when he goes through modes like this?

I don't think either one of them noticed the directional disparity. It's been three days, and nobody in the media ever asked Wade (or Colombo or Davis) about it, that I know of.

All Wade said was that we didn't run it enough, and that it was his fault. He never mentioned where we were running it, because it didn't come up.
