If the QB plays better they would have defeated the 49ers as well.

I think Bland is better suited for slot than outside CB. He had his issues outside. Cut Lewis and save $5 million cap approximately. Bland plays slot. Go out and get a vet CB and draft another.

Hankins is a pretty important bring back IMO. I'd sign another DT in FA. Tomlinson would be a dream. Ain't happening. Payne would be an even bigger dream. Not happening.

FA WRs aren't exactly deep. There's a couple of names out there but nothing that pops out, even as a mid-level guy.
With another year, Kelvin Joseph might be the slot type we're looking for. They can give him help that'a way. I think he can at least give you depth there, but he's the kind of guy who needs reps. Probably wasn't wise to play him this years while still competing for the 1 seed.

That's the thing about this league.

Being the number 1 seed matters.

In another playoff format, you might be able to give your rookies who need refinement reps so they get the in-game experience. Learning is a hands-on deal. People learn way better when they do things, rather than listing to people explain things.

If not there, I think the dude is capable of being a safety. It's when he gets his eyes behind him that he's susceptible to being beaten.

We have to watch out. The Eagles are also drafting well. They haven't won the Super Bowl yet, but they can easily add around a few of their players too and make themselves competitive. I think we've all seen that by now. But they're not so far ahead that we can't catch up or match them with a good draft.

This year's draft really matters.
I'm not concerned with what Philly does because as good as they are, we can still compete and we still made the playoffs fairly early. I'm more concerned with who we face and how we perform. I do think we don't do as good in FA, but we had a great draft.

If you ask me, no matter what else we do outside of the draft, we have to have a good draft in 2023. If we somehow bomb this year's draft, it could be most costly. One good thing I noticed is that we have three 5th round picks this year, which is nice to have considering the talent in this draft. I expect to see some interesting, and quality players taken right around there for us.

In any case, I don't even care about the Super Bowl, although I do hope KC wins because I have family up that way. But I'm really looking forward to this draft.

We've been saying this for awhile now lol

Gotta sign a difference make in FA.

I would disagree. We had the players step up last year, when this team seemingly had a few more holes to fill. If they were to add another stud LBer, nail the WR spot and the tailback spot, and probably another corner, we'd be set.

Teams have to keep improving every year. This year Dallas regressed. Philly passed Dallas in talent level. Giants got better just by hiring a new coach and Washington is a QB away from being on Dallas's level.. Running it back with the same team is a mistake..
regressed how? philly stockpiled talent, they went on a shopping spree they'd have leapfrogged us no matter what we did from a talent perspective.
