That's the main reason ya. Lots of people coming off Injuries and not enough upgrades. They might get like 10-11 wins but not a superbowl contender.

So... you are basically saying we can make the playoffs this season (especially in this division) but because we don't have DEs the first 4 weeks we can't do anything in the playoffs. I'm really confused.

Dl isn't fixable this year. This division is weak and Dallas has a top 3 easy schedule. There's a difference in being the playoffs and being a contender in the playoffs.

Either one of these guys would make me feel a little better about the D line, a lot of potential issues on line beyond the suspensions. Will Gregory develop and stay off the blunt, Lawrence back & Crawford injury. These guys @ 34 would give us some potential on the line. I would prefer Dodd.

9. Noah Spence, DE, Eastern Kentucky
Get by the various issues off and the field and against the run, he is superb rushing the passer.

17. Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson

All things equal - which they are not - you might prefer him to Lawson. But age and body of work go to Shaq.

How do we improve that by the end of the draft?

Kevin Dodd would be a good start in the 2nd if he last that long.

If they are not on the field that much they wont be gassed....all good besides they are going Dodd or Spence with this next pick imo.

D-Law has 15 sacks this year, Dodd and Gregory combine for another 10, Crawford has another solid year in the middle getting 6, and we get another 8 from elsewhere. Not a totally fixed line... but a good start and enough to contend in the playoffs.
