I would love to beat Philly......but beating them on the 9th does make or break this season. We fininsh the first 8 games with a 5-3 or 6-2 we have a very legitimate shot at making the playoffs.

Honestly I believe the NYG games are even more critical than the Philly games. Philly may run away with the division (I'm not saying they will) and we could be in a fight for a playoff spot with the NYG who are a very very competent group.

ok when the patriots when another super bowl dont say that the days of dumping the old to bring in the new is jurassic..

Yeah. Got a helluva QB in Brady. Rostered BEHIND......Bledsoe. Experience there Tiger.

the patriots are the cowboys of the 90's they WERE YOUNG..

The cowboys were young cause we stole a ton of draft picks off of Herschel. That will never happen again. Free agency was not yet born. Dallas was THE lowest paid team in the league their first superbowl. After the "show me the money" days were introduced we lost guys. Yes, even young guys. Again....11 rookies and several first year Dallas starters not enough for ya. How about all the 2 and 3 year guys. Look around Bub....the experienced veterans are winning games for us. They are holding down the fort while the young guys learn and eventually take over.

the patriots drafted and slowly climbed up the mountain.

As opposed to Dallas doing......... what exactly? They weren't sitting on their arse on draft day. Didn't ya notice? Spears, Ware, Canty, Burnett etc.

thay didnt get older veterans to win quickly like bp is trying to do.

Prove this.

to prove my point the patriots lost two starters sun and still won a close game. the lost over 4 starters from last yrs super bowl team and they still are dominating. the younger ones stepped up.

Actually you just proved my point. Thank -you.

I would say that this weekend could determine the future of this team. If they go in and beat the dreadfully defensed Raiders soundly. The "could be 0-3" comments will cease.

One game at a time.

I just don't understand why defensive coordinators don't:

1) Put two guys on Brian Westbrook.
2) Always Rotate coverage towards Terrell Owens.

It's idiotic that teams allow Westbrook to catch balls in the flat-- like he was any other back!

I know McNabb can hurt you with his legs (injuries notwithstanding) and has some OK secondary targets in Brown and Smith, but those things can be contained. Westbrook racked up 200+ yards for heavens' sakes.

We played Philly real tight in the 2nd game last year. BP is figuring the Feagles out.

Injuries to our CB position did not help us out last year, no excuses tho.

Injuries to their players this year could help us out, no excuses again.
I agree with this comment. Bill has even said at various times during the off-season that he specifically built this team to play T.O., McNabb and the Eagles. We shall see come 10/9.

haha, you know better than that. I just think that winning next week on the road against Oakland who has a potentially explosive offense should be the #1 concern at this point.

Personally my #1 concern for the Commanders this week is coming out of the weekend 3-0. Hopefully with a better offensive showing than we all have witnessed over the first 2 weeks of the season.
