How much of an impact do these guys need to make before they start seeing more action. They're young they're hungry and they want to win. Guys like Tashard Choice Victor Butler Kevin Ogletree need to be on the field more.

They see action now, maybe not as much as you want but the object is to win games we are doing that 4 in a row.

This is getting old.

Who are you going to take touches away from to give the ball to Choice? He's not better than Barber or Felix.

Butler isn't a better pass rusher than Spencer or Ware.

We don't know anything about Ogletree other than he can catch screen passes.

I don't know, man...Victor Butler has more sacks in 4 or 5 snaps than Spencer has all year. Eventually you give him a shot.

There was a stat posted somewhere...Butler has 3 sacks in 43 snaps. Spencer has none but he leads the team with I think 13 qb hits.

2 of Butler's sacks came in garbage time against Carolina, and he has done nothing other than the sacks. Spencer has made good plays in coverage and against the run when he maintains his edge.

Butler should only be used as a pass rush specialist right now. Spencer's coverage and run stop abilities are invaluable right now.

I'm 30 months younger than Tashard.
I'm as hungry as Tashard.
I want to win like Tashard.
Why are you always hatin' on me?

I think the way they're getting the guys in for some snaps and giving them chances to make plays here and there is working. The more times they make those plays the more times they're going to be given a shot to make those plays.

It's working. If ain't broke don't fix it.

The Cowboys are doing a great job of incorporating the young players into the game plan. I just wish Felix would get going again and stay healthy this time. Our offense will be even more unstoppable then.

Anyone else find it interesting that Wade put Bobby in at OLB when Spencer got nicked? Maybe the young guys just need more time to learn the position as a whole. Right now it seems like Wade only has confidence in him to come in as a part time pass rusher.

Butler seems to have more natural play making ability than Spencer.

Barber and Jones who else is running the ball? Spencer sucks. Throw butler in there at least he gets to the QB. We need someone opposite of Ware that can get to the QB and get sacks. Spencer has a doughnut hole in that department.

@DE 4 carries 10 yards doesn't get me excited.

Forget about the sacks. Butler's only tackle last night helped the Cowboys win last night. By a shoelace he got MCFLABB.

I like both guys and wish both could be out there. But, I do have to say that Butler seems to have a knack to getting to the QB and making plays. If we could get them both on the field, outstanding. I think Spence still starts, he is playing better and better. Nice luxury to have Butler come in and spell him. But, in the short time that Butler gets and he keeps making plays? Something may have to change, maybe, right now that D is gellin nicely, I wouldn't change a thing.

Well! Don't stop there!

Choice's 2-yard touchdown gets you excited! His 3 carries for 13 yards gets your heart pumping!

Settle down now! Take a nitroglycerin.

Better yet, check out Felix Jones' over 7-yard per carry average this season. That's sure to put you into cardiac arrest just like *SNAP!* that!

:bang2:

Should Butler demonstrate that he can pass rush AND cover better than Spencer, Phillips will start him. If and until that happens, what everyone sees during the games will be what everyone will get.

These threads are getting silly. Our coaching staff is doing a great job of getting people on the field and in position to make plays. If Butler was a better player than Spencer, he would be playing more. To say Spencer sucks is borderline ignorant...

I believe Butler was in for Spencer the next play when he was hurt, Bobby was inside for the nickle with Bradie. The announcer just got it wrong.

He's not better than Ware, but he's better than Spencer, I think.

I still believe Williams was drafted to back up Spencer and Butler to back up Ware, but Butler has been a beast on special teams, and I hope we get him in there in passing situations a few times a game. Let's also note that it appears (I have no stats) that we are using Spencer in coverage more than we ever used Ellis...

Many times we're only sending 4 guys after the QB...I don't see Spencer and Ware both coming that often yet, but maybe I'm missing it.
