Keep in mind Cowboy fan loved to complain about Payton, Sparano, and Haley and all 3 guys are highly thought of currently.

We could assemble the greatest coaching staff ever and Cowboy fan would have a complaint about them.

Well if you run a team trying to please fans your never going to get anywhere. I think Sean Payton is the best out of the four you listed. Our Offense would be scary with him here.

I knew the cardinals would move the ball yesterday.

Haley and carthon helped payton call a great game against the steelers in 04 when we should have beat them so it wasnt suprising to me at all.

Payton. Guy can call some offense, look at the Saints and what that passing attack did this year.

Sparano above all the rest. Then probably Payton. Haley's obviously better than Garrett, but good lord the guy's an abrasive egomaniac.

Whoever is more run oriented, shorter pass oriented, and authoritative.

Out of these four I'll stick with Garrett.

Reasons being...

Payton was a one year, flash in the pan, guy for New Orleans. I don't think his play calling is all that great and he's managed to find a way to pretty much neutralize Bush in his own offense cause he doesn't know how to use him properly anymore.

Brees has been great and that's the only reason anyone would still try and claim that Payton is worth anything.

Todd Haley is a one year guy thus far. He's done great for one season. I'd like to see a larger sampling before I give the guy the go-ahead as a genius. Remember everyone thought Garrett couldn't be lost after the 2007 season either. 1 year later and now many can't wait to get rid of him.

Same thing with Tony. I need more than a 1 year sampling to decide rather the guy is legit or not.

Perhaps however all but one made it past the 1st round of the post season right? Or even into the post season? Hmmm...

In their first year, yeah. Let me see them get it done for more than a season before I decide I'd rather have them than what I've got. Like I said last year Garrett had us in the playoffs too and was a nice 1 and done just like Sparano was this year and he's not in the playoffs his second year just like Payton hasn't been back since his first year.

Personally, at this point, I'd rather keep the guy we've got grab up the latest Johnny Come Lately who may, or may not, be any better than what we've got.

I have been very impressed with Haley's play calling, especially the last 2 games. He seems very good with in game adjustments and calls plays in regards to what the defense is giving him.

Very impressed, the last drive against Philly and the fourth quarter against Pitt were brilliant IMO.

Garret is a fraud.. all hype.. no substance.

only thing fraudulent about Garrett is the perception that he screwed up the season.....the problem was execution ,not play calling .

I thought Haley made a huge mistake with his call at the end of the first half. Defending Fitzgerald on a fade in the corner of the end zone is almost impossible, and I thought for sure that's how they would go. They tried something underneath and Harrison intercepted and took it back.

I think that play is all on the QB. Not that I don't like a fade to Fitz 3 times much better, I am with you on that for sure, but Warner has to eat that ball and throw it out of the endzone.
