I think that play is all on the QB. Not that I don't like a fade to Fitz 3 times much better, I am with you on that for sure, but Warner has to eat that ball and throw it out of the endzone.

Yep, Warner blew it, too.

only thing fraudulent about Garrett is the perception that he screwed up the season.....the problem was execution ,not play calling .

I think Romo, TO, and Roy11 know a bit more about the situation and they're saying the scheming wasn't that great.

I'd love to have either Payton or Sparano here. Reggie Bush is a huge cog in the Saints offense and was hurt a lot this year. if not for that, the Saints probably would have made it to the playoffs.

Sparano took a very weak offense and made it into something special. yes, he was one and done. however, he made the playoffs with a lot less talent than we have.

Good old Hos. We just need to get Witten in here to convince you that Haley's better. ;)
He couldn't. 2008 was an aberration. There will be a lot of egg on faces in 2009. I won't rub it in though.

they've all admitted they could do a better job and will work harder. I'll name 4 names that weren't used to their potential and it fell back on Romo as well. the first two are obvious: Owens, Roy11

the other two: Austin, Choice

What a picture--rubbing egg into someone's face.

And I agree about Haley. But I'm sure if Witten were to say otherwise that you would imitate a pancake....

I'm just ribbing you for your flip-flop on TO in the Witten thread.

On a different note, do you think there's any chance Garrett will get the head job this year or next. The main problems Jerry has right now are 1) the perception of awarding someone for failure, and 2) what to do with the defense if you get rid of Wade. What are your thoughts? What would you do with that problem?

Payton is basically the same as Jason Garrett, right down to the abandonment of the running game and silly trick plays. Tony Sporano I don't think gave Ronnie Brown the ball enough, and his reputation is boosted by the Wildcat that was David Lee's idea. Todd Haley's the best playcaller of the bunch, though he too falls in love with the pass too much (though, really, his personnel screams for it), but he's an ***.

Garrett does need to change some things about his philosiphies.

Anyone notice Pittsburgh D'd up Fitzgerald the same way they D'd up Owens?

Arizona constantly went to the flats and had it the entire night because of the attention Fitz was getting.

How often do we check it down to a RB or TE in the Flats?

This is a Norv Turner style offense and one thing that Aikman always did well was checking it down to Emmitt in the flats.

I thought Pitt was offsides on that play.

I heard a stat the other day that said we were 1 of only 3 other teams to score 24 on Baltimore in the last 4 or 5 years.

For such a predictable offense you would think they would've held us to their average.

Garrett does need to change some things in his philosiphies though and Romo needs to make better decisions when going through his reads.

There's nowhere to go but up for him, with this much talent on offense.

Maybe he'll send his highly paid possession receiver on a slant before the last game of the season.

Dang that sounds good right about now. Maybe a little diced onion for flavor.
