Packers were outplayed and outcoached by the Cowboys last night. The better team won the game. Congrats to the Cowboys and good luck, although I think the Cowboys won't need it because they just punched their ticket to Arizona.

Some thoughts on the game:

Cowboys O-line vs Packers D-line. This reminded me of the games in the 1990's when the Cowboys O-line just dominated the Packers D-line. Packers never came close to generating a pass rush with 4 down lineman. The only time the Packers came close to Romo was the few times they blitzed. I have to give Mark Colombo credit. I thought Aaron Kampman would have his way but he was a non-factor.

TO vs Al Harris. TO owned Harris all night long. Harris would have done nothing if TO didn't tip that ball to him in the end zone. Harris isn't a shut down corner. He has been beat by receivers not even close to TO's calibre this year.

Cowboys pass rush vs Packers O-line. Cowboys won this matchup too, although Packers did get better once they got back to their regular offense. Favre was pressured constantly for the 1 1/2 quarters he played. Rodgers was also under pressure. Clifton can't even come close to matching up with Ware.

Running game. Marion Barber is the toughest RB I've seen all year and the 2nd best one the Packers have faced. Adrian Peterson is the only RB who ran better against the Packers than Barber. Yes, I'm saying Barber is better than LT. This guy doesn't want to go down. Packers didn't get a running game going other than Grant's 62 yard TD run. When your down 27-10 in the 2nd quarter it's not the time to run the ball. Cowboys D did a good job on Grant.

Coaching. Wade Phillips and his staff completely outcoached Mike McCarthy and his staff. Jason Garrett had TO in motion all night long. When the Cowboys couldn't go underneath, they had someone open downfield. Packers got away from their defensive game plan and played zone. This doesn't happen if Woodson plays so why do it now? I don't understand why Bob Sanders played zone when it wasn't working.

Offensively the Packers came out trying to throw downfield. They got away from their regular offense. It wasn't until Favre got hurt and Rodgers came in that the Packers went back to their base offense and started moving the ball. Quick slants and throwing underneath the Driver and Jennings opened things up for Jones and Robinson. This is the second game McCarthy got away from their regular game plan. The other game was against the Bears and guess what happened in that game?

Aaron Rodgers. I was pleasantly surprised at the way he came into the game down 27-10 and led the Packers. He put the Packers in position to take the lead. Packers got back to the short passing game and he worked it better than I ever expected. I saw him run for his life last year when he came in against New England. This is a different Aaron Rodgers. The biggest bright spot for the Packers is that we found out we have 2 quarterbacks. Rodgers coming in for Favre was the best thing that could have happened and I never thought I would write that. Packers went back to their base offense with Rodgers, which they wouldn't have done with Favre. I was impressed with his mobility as well.

Officiating. This was a very well officiated game. The only call I question was the quick whistle on TO's first catch when Harris stripped him of the ball. Other than that I thought the officials got the calls right. Tramon Williams was guilty of pass intereference. When the refs didn't throw the flag right away I thought the Packers got away with one. I don't know what Collinsworth was whining about, it was a good call.

Announcers. The NFL Network can't find anyone else other than Bryant Gumble and Cris Collinsworth? Gumble is awful. I think the NFL Network figures since most of the country can't see the games anyway, why put on someone good?

Bottom line is the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC and they proved it last night. Congrats to the Cowboys.

Good analysis, your team played well with Rogers, he surprised me and he'll be more than capable of taking over the packers whenever Favre decides to hang it up.

I appreciate the comments since I've been accused of being a troll.

I wanted to talk with Cowboys fans about the biggest regular season game the Packers played since December 24, 1995 when they beat Pittsburgh to win the NFC Central.

I'm not a Cowboys hater. I was cheering for them in Super Bowls XXVIII and XXX. Yes, I cheered for them after they beat the Packers in the NFC Championship in 1995. I cheered for Buffalo the first time because I wanted to see them win a Super Bowl after losing the previous 2. When the Cowboys smoked them I didn't want to see them back again. When they played the Cowboys the 2nd time I was cheering for the Cowboys because I didn't ever want to see that Buffalo team in a Super Bowl again. They couldn't make it competitive.

Very classy post. I would kindly disagree about the officials though, because I thought they were horrible and it went both ways. Green Bay is obviously a good team and one that I'm sure we'll see again. Best of the luck the rest of the way and here's to an injury free rest of the season.

Ok, I will admit it....I was going for the Pack against the 49ers the time in the playoffs when T.O. caught that pass in the endzone to secure the win after he dropped several during the game....:banghead: :bang2: I've been holding that in for years!! It was a good game, but could've been worse if the Cowboys stayed aggressive on D when Rodgers was in. The defense stepped up when they needed to though.

I have noticed a lot of this in recent games. I think our opponents realize that Barber, Jones and our O Line will eat the clock and physically HURT their defense if they go man coverage. They pick the chance at an int/sack/incompletion rather than the fact that we will eventually run them into the ground.

I said at the time that the biggest advantage the Packers had when Rodgers came in is that the Cowboys never practiced to face him. They weren't prepared for a QB who was going to run when there was nobody open. There's no way Favre runs for 2 first downs like Rodgers did.

Cowboys D adjusted and kept the Packers from making a comeback.

Packers have lots of work to do if they expect to win a playoff game in Big D.

I agree, I don't think that anyone was aware of his mobility. Rodgers was running like a deer in headlights, but he made some plays with his feet that were very impressive. IMO, Jennings was the difference maker on your offense, and when the Pack realized he was being defended by Nate Jones, it became a fiesta.

I don't mean to keep getting on you about the FIB thing, but I'm not a FIB even though I live in Illinois.

FIB's are Illannoyances who rip on everything that has to do with Wisconsin but spend their summers vacationing there. It's Cubs fans and Bears fans who show up running their mouths when their team is good but run and hide when they suck (Bears clowns are doing this now).

Since I'm a Packers fan, and since I also hate the Cubs, I get a pass even though I live in Illinois (pronounced ILL-i-noise).

Wisconsinites have the following names for people from Illinois:

FIB
FISH (F**king Illinois S**t Head)
Illannoyance

Anyone on this board is more than welcome to come and talk with Packers fans on our board:

http://forums.packersnews.com/viewforum.php?f=39

If anything, you'll learn more about these wonderful creatures called FIBs.

Could be, but I dunno. It may have surprised them but they practice against Romo all the time.

If the Cowboys can't represent the NFC in the SB, I hope GB does.
