I'm in Seattle on business and I had the day free so I decided to bus down to the International District in downtown Seattle. Needless to say, I'm decked out in my Cowboys sweater and beanie. Well, I didn't know that CenturyLink Field was right here. So I'm sitting in a nice little whiskey bar right across from the stadium enjoying a snake bite (Guinness and Magner's Irish Cider) in a bar covered wall to wall in #12 propaganda. No wonder why I kept getting looks when I was walking here.

Seatlle is pretty laid back, so you shouldn't get beat up. Unlike Philly........

That's embarrassing.

Especially when you know the Seahawks are the exact opposite of our team.

I just got approached by some Cowboys fans from San Antonio. That was refreshing. I was stationed in Lackland too, though I'm a Brooklyn guy.

You'll get some cat-calls in here from so-called Cowboys' fans wondering why you're even bothering to wear Cowboys' swag. I commend you! The Cowboys are the team you most likely grew up loving, so why should you stop loving your Boys? Now I'll probably get hammered for even taking up for my beloved Cowboys on a Cowboys' message board (go figure... it's the "in thang" to do now), but oh well. I'll never stop loving my Cowboys!!

If DandyDon can like that statement I can too. Just watched the complete Ice Bowl Game yesterday on nfl network. As a kid I started following the Cowboys about a year after that game. Dandy Don Meredith was our QB. Loved watching the old time players in sub zero weather. Cowboys outplayed those other guys on a sheet of ice. So many 1960's near misses! The handsome Don Perkins was running hard and Dan Reeves really had a great game. Bob Hayes didn't show up like the other Cowboys. Had his hands in his pants every running play. Tipped off the corners. I have always made a point of gearing up with the star after especially brutal losses.

Prideful! That is one pretty stadium. Next time I'm in Seattle I'm going to catch a game there if I can.
Also we call what you call a "Snake bite", a "Bad Apple".... Good drink my friend...

Enjoy and safe travels.
