I caught one guy on the radio this morning say that while the 49ers are viewed as the better team, he thinks he'd rather face them. Purdy hasn't played in a crazy environment like Philly yet whereas Dallas is comfortable in Philly and has shown they can win there, even when the fans are lathered up. Purdy has only started three road games and the toughest was in Seattle against what was a mediocre Seattle team. I can see the logic of wanting a rookie in that situation over a more veteran QB in Prescott who has historically played well against Philly.

If we win today and play Philly and then lose to them, it won't be because of the crowd or the environment. It will be because they are just better.
Good points…I’ve gone back and forth on this. I really don’t care at this point. There are pros and cons to either opponent.

If I had a gun to my head I’d vote for the 49ers…but only because I could never actually root for the Cowboys lol

This is exactly right.

You could get the dominant Dallas team (Minnesota / Tampa) or the team that doesn’t show up (Tampa week 1, Washington). With the 49ers you’re getting a disciplined, tough team week in and out.
Yeah the 49ers were soooo disciplined when they got whipped by the Bears, Falcons and Broncos :muttley:

And you were rooting for your Eagles then?
What fans would not want the NFCCG on their home field?
You wanted the easier road and there's nothing wrong with that.

Don't try and make it about home field. We all know Dallas has no home field advantage.

Philly fans would go nuts over an NFC Championship Game vs the Cowboys. Whoever they play should be a good game.

Bears was a monsoon!!!! Falcons and Broncos was pre McCaffrey.

This is similar to their team last season. They are hot heading into the playoffs and aren’t the same squad from earlier in the season.

I don't see us or the 49ers going into philly and winning. Philly is the top team in the NFC and based on yesterday's game they seemed to have shifted into overdrive. Most complete team in the NFL. Only remaining question for philly is who will they be playing in the SB. I would like to see philly vs KC. Some entertaining underlying story lines.

I’m with you on Sirriani. He has a Buddy Ryan-esque aura to me. I keep expecting to hear started a fight with an assistant or player, maybe even from his own team.
He reminds me more a Sean Payton (sp?). Just an annoying cocky swagger

...not surprised, Dallas has rich history with Philly. Dallas is the popular HS kid, with Letterman jacket and girls.

Philly will always be looking up, because of Dallas success.
Dallas peaked in high school. 27 years later, still talking about high school
