This is what I do not understand about a Real Cowboy Fan. I have been a fan for about 40 sum years. Shy on the msg boards. basically a stalker, but have much knowledge for this team. Member for about 7 years. Love you all, don't jump! We are good.

Normally I would agree with you, but this team just looks the same as it has the last few seasons. Out coached, lost the physical battle in the trenches and had one mental mistake after another. This is not occasional poor play, it is week after week of penalties and mental breakdowns. At this point the burden of proof is with them to show us fans that things really are different. I see the same .500 team I have been watching the last decade.

I'm the same way! Well before the season I thought we were still another good draft away from being contenders and then everyone got their hopes up from the big win in NY. I think we are another step closer but not quite there so hang in there guys!!

Agreed Doomsday. I was disappointed with that performance. I just feel we are a little better than 500. On the edge, certainly Not a great team this year, but I do like the direction. Thanks for the response, very new at this.

We should wait and see, but I will always feel like we can win against anybody, problem is we lose to teams we should NOT! But I get the groundhog day reference. Thanks for the feedback. Agree to an extent, we will see.

The loss yesterday didn't really bother me for some reason. I guess I came to the conclusion early enough into the game that the "Dallas Cowboys" never got off the plane. Afterall, why should I invest any emotion into the game if the players themselves won't invest their best effort? All of that being said, I am not going to panic or jump off the ledge after this game. I think I will just sit back a wee longer and see how things develop. Now, if what we saw yesterday is a recurring theme at week 6 I'll start to propose radical thoughts.

Craig

beat the champs then get destroyed by rookie 5'11 qb.

this team is a rollercoaster of emotions

everybody who gets really upset understands the passion they have about our team. its the same as catching your gf with another man. you love her (cowboys) but they keep breaking your heart (giving up) when they are down.

the cowboys just got their butts whooped at every phase of the game.

they need to fix the turnovers and dez needs to learn to catch the ball.

everything bad that could happen, happened. witten had his worst game ever as did felix and dez and the d-line was pushed around like a peewee team.

they will win again but now before every game its fair to ask, which team will show up today?

Unfortunately I agree. It has been this team's MO since Parcells left...and even some of the time when he was there. They just simply can not focus every week. And by they, I don't only mean the players. The coaches were poor yesterday too.

Nune21=realist!

We all have opinions.

You speaking about real Cowboy fans is a joke since your OPINION differs from EVERYONE else on this board. I normally discount what people say when defining real football fans or real Cowboy fans as a self elevating post with little facts.

But your continued realist position reminds me that some see but have no eyes.

If there is one symptom of a team that lacks discipline it is the continued penalties and trouble snapping the ball on the right count when the QB is ready.

Now the built in excuse is it's a new center.

But there is the rub.

There is ALWAYS a built in excuse for those that look at this team and believe they are moving closer to some top flight organization.

Too many times they repeat the same mistakes they've had throughout the last decade.

The same penalties, just different jersey numbers.

The same botched snaps, but different centers.

The same games where they are shoved hard and they do not respond.

I do not know you, and have nothing against you. You have an opinion that I disagree with, and that is all. But I believe there is enough mounting evidence that this things is the same today as it was yesterday and it will be tomorrow. The components all suggest it is a soft team that can be intimidated into mistakes.

To a degree that is the players. We still have some of the same guys that have shown in the past they will not resist when gang raped on the field. Which is exactly what happened yesterday.

But there is a philosophy this team has, a corporate culture that exists that fosters this type of results.

I am still holding out hope for the next two games. Win those and this may have been an aberration.

But lose one, or my gosh both, and this will be a season as painful as any we've seen.

And if that transpires then this team is at a crossroads of unthinkable decisions to make.

Either keep on tossing money at a team that has been consistently soft.

Or blow this Mother up and start over.

The first is what will happen if this season goes south.

The second is a path that is crushing for fans because of the five or six years of rebuilding IF we can replace Romo. (Not saying we should, but with the rebuilding theory his time will pass before we get the right parts)

If not then more of the same.

This is a culture of softness that is inbred in this team.

Not just one loss that REAL COWBOY fans understand.

romo himself saved us about 4 sacks with his spin moves. if that was a manning they would have been sacked right then. romo saved us a bunch but he cant do it all by himself. no running game and everybody dropping balls and not running the full route. austin had a td if he kept running on that deep ball that romo threw after he spun out of a sack.

witten had another if he caught the ball

overall bad bad game.

So you're a REAL cowboy fan because you don't get upset when we get run into the ground? Riiiiiiiight

Ha... yeah, Manning has never escaped a sack and come up with a big play...LOl

If it had been a hard fought close game yes it would be an over reaction

But when the team never shows up

That is a lot worse

Cowboys are unstoppable. Best team in the NFC for sure...not impressed with the 49ers. They didn't beat the defending champs like we did

Wow, you are exactly why I despise what is said on this board. So much Great Information and then an inmature response like that. Its ok. Don't Jump! love my Cowboy Bretheren. I don't live on pipe dreams. Don't hate. Love my Cowboys, for a long time. Love you too, get on board, it will get better! Offensive Line Mandatory! Be Cool!

Two Deep3
I feel your pain! And agree with much that you say! So how do you fix it? Isn't that the million dollar question. You are the GM what do you do? I will ASK you to quit critisizing, and come up with a solution. Stop talking like you know all the answers, what are they? I have my own opinions, they start UP FRONT! what are your's? Sorry for the spelling, interested in your response>>>>>>Build an offfensive line! I wanted Decastro! Did not mine the pick though> YOU?
