i wanted to know if selecting easley in the 4th round is a possibility as i fully expect aaron donald to be gone by pick #16. easley supposedly has the make-up to be a good 3 technique.

cbs sports has him rated #61

i find it hard to believe that with two knee injuries, a team would select him at the bottom of round 2.

so, who would take the under at #61?

i am inclined to take the over at #110 which would put him in the first half of the 4th round.

I think the occurrence of an ACL injury in the same knee is lower than the probability of an ACL injury to a never-injured knee.

Injured players are even harder to predict than other draft picks.

He would have been right with Donald, maybe higher if he had never been injured.

Tank Carradine was ranked as a mid 1st last year and only feel to the 2nd due to the injury. He was on IR all season. Easley would probably ranked ahead of Carradine if neither had ever been injured; however, Easley has had 2 ACL injures compared to only 1 injury for Carradine.

Anybody that tell you they know within +/- 10 picks of where he will be drafted are yanking your chain.

I think their injuries are viewed kinda differently. Easley's are probably viewed as something that might end his career early, since he had injuries on both knees in non-contact situations. Carridine's are just viewed as him being unavailable his first year but not as a habitual thing. Kinda like how Brandon Thomas will be viewed this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Thomas goes earlier than people expect, like in the 3rd or even the 2nd.

Yes, 2 is more of an issue than 1; however, he did play a full season after the first injury.

The non-contact part does not mean to much to me. Many ACL injuries, even in games don't occur on contact. It almost seems like he was born with weak ACLs. The replacement is actually slightly bigger than the original.

It really depends on the specific injury. Some are a simple ACL tear while others involved other damage. If there was no other damage, the statistics are really good in terms of a complete recovery. I saw some statistics in the past that indicated that re-injury to a surgically repaired ACL is less likely than injuring it in the 1st place.
