They're just betting (see what I did there) that QBs will throw at him way less. The gold standard for coverage Ramsey only had 4 INTs.

I get it, but I think he's really good at enticing QBs. If we get pressure, they will see Digg's guy as more open than he actually is.

Under for Parsons (teams will game plan better for him)

Diggs will get around 5-6 picks because he takes chances and will get torched

Thats the beauty of Parsons playing linebacker. Harder to game plan for a guy moving all over the place. They were already doing that last year by the way.

Could be. Under pressure I'd be looking for a dump off guy instead of a wideout but we'll face some nervous QBs regardless and they might rush receivers' routes. He could get 2 of Wentz alone.

Definitely under for both. That is a lot of Sacks and INTs.

Over on both. Diggs isn't likely to reach his INT total from last year, but 4 1/2 is low. I think we may see 14-15 sacks from Parsons

Did you read the tweet? They were both over those numbers last year.

Of course and both those numbers were high last year. If Diggs 3+ INTs would be a really good year. If Parsons has 8+ sacks it would be considered a really good year.

I disagree. Parsons with 8 sacks would be a big disappointment. He's being viewed as a pretty elite pass rusher, and 8 is not that level.

Consider that last year Parsons had 13 sacks despite his inconsistent use as a pass rusher in the early part of the season, which included a few games where he wasn't used much as a pass rusher at all. Now that they have a better idea of how to use his talents, and know from the start of the season, I don't see any way that dropping to 8 sacks could be seen as anything but a disappointment.

As for Diggs, INT's are harder to come by than sacks, and 3 is possible for even high quality CB's, so I don't see 3 INT's as generating the same level of disappointment as 8 sacks would for Parsons, but following on the heels of an 11 sack season I think it would still be a clear disappointment.

Ultimately though what made me question was the firmness of your answer ("definitely under for both") - as if 4.5 INT's isn't realistic for Diggs after he was able to get 11 last year, and as if 11.5 sacks isn't realistic for Parsons after he got 13 last year. Certainly you don't think their careers both peaked in 2021.

Not only does he take chances, but he baits a hook. He manufacturers his picks, last year wasn't dumb luck.

not dumb luck but a fair bit of luck

doubt he gets above 7 and will get torched by the better QB/WR combo

I think the mantra of Diggs getting torched is over exaggerated. Yes he had a handful of those last year but every cb does too. Jalen Ramsey who people often regard as the best corner has plenty of low lights. Corner is a tough position to play and unless you're intercepting the ball you're likely on the highlights giving up a td.

So in his rookie season, Everson Walls got 11 INT's in 16 games. The following year he got 7 INT's in 9 games. That expands out to 12 INT's in 16 games. In other words, Walls did even better the year after his record season on a per game basis.

I'm going the over on Diggs INT's.

One of the determining factors in how much opportunity Micah will have to make sacks is the possible emergence of the starter opposite Lawrence. This, in turn, is influenced by the productivity of the other D-linemen.

I believe this D-line will be much improved, particularly in the middle. This means less attention to bear on the DE's. Lawrence will benefit and so will the other DE's. I'm hoping that, after a few games, that other starting DE is Sam Williams.

In any case, Micah played on the line last season initially due to injury. I think there will be less of that and the Cowboys will also have more depth. Micah will not be needed as much. Besides, Quinn isn't finished finding what else Micah can do well. I'm sure, this season, he's going to want to diversify.

I go the under on Micah's sacks.

Parsons is a part time edge rusher. He is a MLB. The best elite pass rushers do not get 14+ sacks every year so it would not be realistic to expect it.

As for Diggs, yes 3+ INTs would be a really good season. How many DBs get 4+ INTs? Not many. So again expecting it is not realistic.

IMO a more realistic over under for Parsons is 10 and Diggs 3.

Hey Risen. Inquiring minds want to know, how are you going to feel the first time Micah strip sacks Carson Wentz?

What makes you think Micah is capable of bringing Wentz to the ground?

I don't see it happening.
