Overall Grade for Cowboys head coach?

What's your overall grade for Shotty in his first season as the Cowboys head coach??? We've seen some good things and some things that still scratch your head about these head coaches Jerry hires. He's held players accountable, maybe could have done this more, but with that, there's been questionable moments, and a lack of discipline during games for this team still. At this point, i'll give him a C+, what your grade?????

He had to work with those two, you have to feel sorry for him about that, and I think there were a few times where he went around jerry (not playing diggs) situation with logan Wilson, not starting lamb and pickens

This should be added, as was mentioned in post #4 above this one - a head coach for the Dallas Cowboys can't really be accurately evaluated because no one knows how much of the day to day Jerry is influencing. All signs point to Jerry being the real HC who runs the team from the owners box while the guy on the sidelines with the actual title of HC is his assistant following orders.

Jerry needs to be gone and totally out of the picture before Schnotty can be properly evaluated. There can't be any concerns that Jerry is sticking his fingers into everyone's orifices and manipulating the chess pieces like there is right now.

It bothers me when the Jerry lovers bash McClay. Why? To say that McClay is the sole person responsible for building the roster is, in my opinion, totally wrong. Everyone knows Jerry gets the final say in EVERYTHING. No one but Jerry is responsible for the mess the franchise has been in for the past 30 years. No one.

The only thing we have a good idea about him is that he's going to be a very cheap owner, unwilling to spend any money on anything. I think you can only be so cheap, there will have to be a time or many times where we see a need and realize that we can't just keep on getting the ACR's and Coog's, of the world, we have to get some BIGGER names that can help this team actually be successful

Cowboys season win total was 7.5 , the Cowboys have basically done exactly what they were expected to do from a wins and losses perspective. Offensively, it’s hard to argue with the production and that’s his side of the ball. It’s very hard to fault him for anything on defense bc he didn’t even pick the DC. I think anything from a B - to a C would be fair. His biggest challenge is going to be whether he can figure out a way to convince dumb n dumber to be more aggressive in FA. If he can’t do that, he will just be another puppet around here.

Defense was the problem and eberflus was hired without his consulting so ill give him some leeway there

Offense was 2nd in league so ill give him some credit there

Penalties were again 32nd in nfl so ill give him a demerit there

No major clock management issues

Gets a B - seems like a decent outside of his control

Penalties 32nd gosh dang, what can you realistically do to fix this, I think this falls on everyone not just coaches

Let him pick his DC and not have Jerry blow up his entire defensive strategy a week before the opener and it might be possible to get a better idea of what he can do.

It’s a rookie season and I had them down for six wins, so minus Jerry, it’s gone about how I expected based on the awful defensive talent

Schnotty wasn't going to get hired by any other team and there is years of proof to back that up. It was the only chance for him to get a HC gig, so he was willing to be Jerry's (itch with a B) for 4 years to finally get "HC" on his resume after 27 long years in the NFL.

No big name coach will ever come to Dallas while Jerry is still around, only the spineless sycophants of the world willing to sacrifice their pride and dignity for the chance at kissing Jerry's butt.

So let's say he picks his own guy, he's able to get a few groceries, I bet on everything the OFFENSE will then be an issue! There's never consistency with this team
