Overhaul the Receiving Corps

Last year we cleaned house cause 4 had expiring contracts and we didn't give them high enough deals.
We didn't cut anyone.
For the wide receivers, only one is an UFA. I'll be surprised if we cut anyone. Maybe just draft a potential X /Z receiver to develop.

To stand pat with our current receiving corps intact is not a good idea if Witten remains the starting tight end. At least cut some salary.

Dez, williams, and Beasley are all 28+, you need to draft or bring in at least 2 wr...including a bigger slot WR.

They are getting up there in age. We have Brown but no one really knows about him.

We need to get younger at the WR position.

Be it scheme, system, QB or coaching I’ll let others debate that but I do know I watch a ton of NFL and I contstanly see others team’s WR’s either wide open or consistently making contested catches, and we seem to be lacking at both

We need to Draft a WR early
We need to move on from Witten as a safety valve....give those routes to Dez(who takes a pay cut)
Keep either Bealey or Switzer
Keep TWill, Butler or NBrown......not 2
Sign a cheap vet with top speed
Draft a WR late

Only thing our WR's do well is block.

Just read that Twill did not score a TD all year...pathetic! Butler hasn't played in weeks, nor Switzer and they were all over the place yesterday. Coincidence? I think not.

What do all those receivers have in common?

We got very lucky in the secondary. It’s pretty rare to do the same at WR
I expect we will add a WR at some point, maybe two depending on what they do with Dez
If Dez is coming back I don’t see a WR taken in first rnd unless someone really falls
If they are moving on from Dez then it does become a top priority

Until we have a different pass scheme changing the WRs is pointless and a waste of resources.

Draft players we will actually properly use.

With a healthy Romo, this passing game is unstoppable and we're on a bye week next week in the playoffs.

It ain't the receivers.

Yeah, because we "know" that Dez is "always" wide open on every play. Because he is reminding his QB that on every play.
