Overhaul the Receiving Corps

We need to Draft a WR early
We need to move on from Witten as a safety valve....give those routes to Dez(who takes a pay cut)
Keep either Bealey or Switzer
Keep TWill, Butler or NBrown......not 2
Sign a cheap vet with top speed
Draft a WR late
Dez doesn’t do what a TE does
They will keep both Beasley and Switzer
I kinda think butler is gone. Flashes some skills but can’t catch consistently
Brown will be back
The real question is are they ready to move in from dez

I don't believe the receivers need a complete overhaul if we cater better route trees to each of their talents. However, they could use more speed and should seriously consider spending a premium pick on a WR to add another wrinkle to this offense. Dez is going to be 30 and though history shows good receivers are very productive for another 3 to 4 years having another threat opposite him should help this offense. Everyone else right now are nice complimentary options.

Until we have a different pass scheme changing the WRs is pointless and a waste of resources.

Draft players we will actually properly use.
We never got a snap out of Rico.

Like to see if he can do what he was doing in the pre-season.

If we had a threat at TE..

DAK would look much better.

We definitely need a WR overhaul, starting at the #1 spot. At this point, I don't know if Dez stays or goes, but we need to get much better at that position.
Draft or sign a No. 1, Dez becomes the no. 2 and probably flourishes. He's come out and said he would do whatever it takes. Jerry will probably rework his contract. He'll keep his money but will be cap friendly

A younger more athletic TE should be 1st on the list. But I do agree, this team desperately needs to add a dynamic WR.

Agreed. I think Dez could be much improved if he was no longer the #1 guy.

It’s not easy to just dump Dez and find a #1, like dumping your HOF TE and thinking you can replace him easily. I don’t think it’s about dumping either.

Witten may be old, we run a lot of two TE and even 3 TE sets. Witten is still better than Swaim or Hanna. I hope Rico is the man next year, our Jordan (Skins) or Ertz (Philly), but you still need a proven guy who reads defenses and can block and get open short. Witten should be welcomed back as mentor, leader of the room, and #2 TE blocking and running underneath routes.

Dez can still destroy man coverage in the red zone and across the field. We don’t need a new #1 (though that would be great). We just need a good route runner with good hands and 4.5 speed. That guy will pull away from guys running crossing routes and get YAC. Currently, when we throw underneath, it’s to guys who either can’t catch it or have guys on their backs because they can’t pull away for chunk plays. Krupp (Rams) and JuJu (Steelers) are examples of guys who are making huge impacts in the league without being first rounders or number 1 receivers. Our underneath routes go to Witten and Beasley....ugh.
You add playmakers at #2 or #3 and a third down RB like in Washington, a smaller guy with playmaking ability in the open field, and the defense has to account for more danger...then you get Dez doing what Dez can do.

You want to get Dez in many more man situations or zone.

Like last year's remodeling of the secondary, the receiving corps needs to be overhauled, need at least 2 new starting caliber WR's.

Be careful blaming the WR. Dak really is so incredibly inaccurate. I agree Dez and Dak is not a good fit. Daks skill set does not help Dez at all. Look Dez for sure has become one dimensional but im tired of people just blaming the receivers. Our QB has been exposed and shown his weakness and limitations. So how do you must fix this problem? Which im scared because i know they are all in with Dak. Sorry but im not so.confident. He has played poorly in alot games this year. He could not score a point until the secomd half aganist a team that was playing 2nd and 3rd string players. Yesterday was a disgrace. Embarrassing is a good word. So it all depends how the front office thinks. Which makes me believe they love Dak. Ok thats fine. Play it out, but of course Jerry will.let go on way too long if it does not work out. He will make fools of us all and tell us how great and confident he is in everybody. Its comical. No one takes Jerry seriously anymore. So im rooting for Dak but I must be honest im very worried. He did not play well consistently this year. His weakness has been exposed and i fear this will be a very very boring offense. Which i turn will.hurt our defense. Ugh. I have no hope. Its sad, but im done being fooled

I’m good with Dez Bease and Switz staying. Williams and Butler too inconsistent. Hopefully we grab a WR in the first or second rnd

Only thing our WR's do well is block.

Just read that Twill did not score a TD all year...pathetic! Butler hasn't played in weeks, nor Switzer and they were all over the place yesterday. Coincidence? I think not.
T Will was wide open deep yesterday and Dak missed him by 8 yards. Happened a few times this year.
Hence no TDs .
QB stinks.

Open competition at QB next year fixes the problem. Dak never actually beat anybody out for the job to begin with, he got it by default.

I don't think that is the case, he is not winning the one on one battles and has not been nearly effective enough in the redzone. You can't afford to pay him 17M to be an average player
