NFL fines players now for every little thing. I know it is supposed to go to charity.
But the fines are even out of control.
Fines for even minor uniform violations.

Another reason players want more money as they know some of it will be taken away.

It’s a multi-day process that doesn’t even start until after MNF.

I think the biggest delay is due to something in the CBA.

Theres also something in the CBA that sets the fine amounts

Thanks, folks. I knew how much the fine would be Tuesday (link). The league has the amounts codified, although they sometimes fidget with the totals because of the supposed severity of how the player acted (and that's totally subjective).

When the fine would be levied was my question. I still do not like how inefficiently the dispensing of discipline is carried out, even if the process has been mutually agreed upon by the owners and players' union.

Both the player and penalty are identified at game time. The fine amount is set. Just get it over with by Wednesday afternoon following the completion of the league week. Any longer and it seems like they cannot complete such a simple task as that. The NFL sometimes works at the speed of a telegraph, lol.
