All that I can actually say honestly and positive about this franchise is that the D has a chance to be top 5, and it has to because this offense is going to be bad for a long time.
They tried. Barkley they knew was a good player. Baun they got lucky, it happens. Gardner-Johnson is ok, he starts. Huff was a major miss, it happens. Signing White was a waste of time and he’s already been released. Traded for Dotson for depth, they’re probably regretting that. Becton starts, when healthy, and is serviceable as a guard. Their first two 2024 draft picks look decent, so far, but their defensive backfield was so bad anything was going to be an improvement. The Eagles didn’t act like a team that thought they were good enough to compete for a Super Bowl as is when last season ended. They still aren’t, but they tried to improve.
I have compared him to a young Roy Williams but with more ceiling, meaning that O can be a very excellent complimentary piece to MP moving forward.
