When he was picked I viewed him as a Kearse apprentice. I still believe that’s the vision for him. Luckily the NFL didn’t like him in the draft because he’s a little two heavy for a safety and a little too light for a LB, which means he’s the ideal body type for special and to be a Kearse replacement

That's where a playmaker has been sorely needed since the guy the Hall of Fame can't begin to pull their heads out of their arses and elect because he was in the top tier of safeties to ever play the game. Yet they just don't see greatness unless it's in a Stealers or 69ers uniform.

We’ll see if he shows up when the games start. I never get overly excited about training camp performances. There’s been players that look terrific in camp practices, but don’t show up when the games start. When they start making plays in games that encourages me.
