How do you guys feel about Overshown? The signing of his new agent sure puts a piss rain over the possibility of us extending him. I think many would have liked to extend him on a Sean Lee type of pay for play type of scenario, but I’m sure that’s not going to happen now.

Hate to lose him, to see him ball out healthy for another team on his next contract. I would hate it even more if we extend him for real money and see him never contribute as he has done on his rookie deal.

My guess is the Cowboys will let him test free agency.

It’s all about this year. If he has a great season we keep him. If not then price won’t matter

He's played in 19 of a possible 51 games.
I can't imagine anyone giving him more that a 1 yr contract.
I'd expect he'll be out of the league in 2, 3 years tops!

I lived in Austin during his career with the Longhorns and when healthy was such a dominant force. He is just not able to stay healthy so we shouldn't count on him even being in the league much longer unfortunately. Good person and great competitor and wish him well for sure.

Love overshown and our lb core is trash but hes had 2 bad injuries. nothing to think about until next offseason.

right. he’s flashed enormous talent, is a fun guy to root for, and easy to like. the injury history obviously sucks, but doesn’t deter me from being a big fan of the talent
