No, no, no, keep it simple and equal for both teams. A coach will push the envelope before long and go for 2 by themselves to end things.First team with the ball scores a TD and has to kick the extra point. If this happens then the other team gets a possession and must go for 2 if scoring a TD. If the first team misses the extra point then the second team can kick the extra point instead of going for 2.

They are complicating the rules. It's an abomination to the game. The rules were fine before. The shenanigans will never end.So, in OT, if the defense intercepts the ball and scores a TD, the game ain't over?![]()
It's getting ridiculous. The rules should be left as is.How about they go to Flag Football for the OT???

no.... the team that threw the interception possessed the ball and didnt score. The intercepting team possessed the ball and scored. Both teams possessed the ball, only 1 team scored, game over. So, in OT, if the defense intercepts the ball and scores a TD, the game ain't over?![]()
no shenanigans. This is more fair. Both teas get a chance to score, regardless if one team lucked out and won the toss and scored a TD. Now the opponent also gets a chance to score a TD. The game should never be determined by a coin toss. They are complicating the rules. It's an abomination to the game. The rules were fine before. The shenanigans will never end.
Thanks for the clarification!!no.... the team that threw the interception possessed the ball and didnt score. The intercepting team possessed the ball and scored. Both teams possessed the ball, only 1 team scored, game over.
It's already that way. Pretty much. Just stop the other team that wins the coin toss from getting a td . I'm not seeing what's unfair about that. It forces a team to make a stop, force a fg attempt. It's fine as is. Both teams get a chance providing you stop a td. If not, you lose. That's fair.no shenanigans. This is more fair. It's not. It only forces you to defend and prevent the TD. If you can't, game over you lose.no shenanigans. This is more fair.
