This is the first time I've been able to come to CowboysZone since the Thanksgiving day game, so I don't know if anyone brought this up.

Did anyone notice Owens looking scared to catch the ball? The drop in the endzone. He said he had the wind knocked out of him, but he dropped that ball well before he had the win knocked out of him. He let go of the ball and started to reach for the ground. The TD that he did catch he look terrified of getting hit. On several other plays he looked that way also.

One thing I would have never done was question TO's heart for the game, but what I saw Thursday was disheartening. A possession receiver has to be fearless. I saw much fear in Owens Thursday.

yoda mentioned this to me after the game. He said something about fear leading to dropped passes, dropped passes leading to losing games, and losing games leading to the dark side - which I suppose is a metaphor for being like Washington.

He got his feet wiped out from under him. Tough to hang onto, IMO. I don't fully fault him for that.

Well, I'm not JUST talking about the dropped TD catch. He looked scared on almost every catch or drop for that matter.

The high one across the middle, I completely agree with. He gets alligator arms sometimes. That was the only one from that game.

I couldn't see his facial expressions on my TV to see if he was afraid or not, but of course I don't have HD.

With everything else that is going on right now in Dallas, (Romo, defense stepping it up, Vandy, Giants collapse, us leading the division) can't you find anything else to worry about ?

He caught 8 for over 100, and a TD, let's just go with that for now.

Give it a rest on Owens, he is doing just fine nowadays it seems to me.

next Cowboy game, keep track of how many yards we don't get, from TO's dropped aligator arm catches. then keep in mind the possible, yards after catch.

Even if he cut his drops in half, you would have to say we add 50 yards to our total offense.

I say that is very concerning, so I'm going to worry until BP fixes it.

he has been doing the exact same Alligator arm catch for every team he has played on.

TO needs some practise time with Michael Irvin. He will show him how to catch the damn ball

It's been over two months. It shouldn't be in to much pain now. Anyhow, the man can obviously play with the hand. He has a 3 year 25 million dollar contract. Break my hand, and give me that contract and I will show you how I can play with it.

Making excuses are for losers. If their is a reason that is beyond the control of someone, then an excuse doesn't have to be given. Everyone will already know. If an excuse is given, then the real excuse is covering the fact they didn't try hard enough. If a man gives his all and fails, then there is no need for an excuse.

He had ONE drop against the Bucs.

I don't like any drops, but I have watched enough football over the years to understand that drops happen, ... same as fumbles, penalties, bad passes, etc.

Owens is tied with Marvin Harrison, (a pretty good receiver the last time I checked) at 10th in receptions, he is 10th in receiving yards, (only 160 below 2nd place) and he is tied for 1st in receiving TD's.

Worry about something else, ... or are you still just a TO hater ?

A broke hand for a guy who catches footballs is not an excuse. Its obvious where this is coming from.

He had 8 catches for over a hundred friggin yards and a TD (and a brilliant celebration) and people get nuts over two drops. Guys... that's stupid.

Watch some games around the league and compare. Week in week out Owens has been a steady and excellent performer. He's brought a different level of respect to our passing game and unlike when he was in Philly he's still part of a compete offensive machine. This is exactly what you could hope for as a fan.

I agree with everything Ravi, except I think he only had one drop, the one in the EZ.

The high ball was catchable, yes, but it would not have been an easy catch, and I don't consider that a drop.

The Falcons receiver had a drop, Owens in the EZ had a drop, ... but the high ball is not what I consider a drop, IMO.

He has a cracked bone (it's not broken in two) that is supported by a metal rod that will prevent further damage. Umm, he can catch the ball. I see what you're implying. Read back, I'm not a TO hater. I supported the signing. I'm a TO fan, but I just question what I saw from him on Thanksgiving.

I was talking about the drops when I said "where this is coming from" ...... was not implying anything.

The plate does not help with the pain ...... and I never said T.O. was a tough guy.

Diva's are gonna drop passes when it hurts their hand ..... But he is still one of the best WR's in the league and we should be happy with his performance.

Terry Glenn dropped 2 passes against the Bucs ...... noone said a word about it.

I think TOs drop had more to do with the fact that he was paying attention to not allowing his head to land first in the end-zone...

He had possession coming down, until he started to reach for the ground... That's when the ball came out.. It looked to me like it had nothing to do with his hands...

TO is a beast... That is a fact... And he also had a couple of key first down plays.... He is not only scoring, but sustaining drives..

He tried to catch himself with his bad hand ..... and it hurt.
