Roy can still prove to be a good player. His coverage is under average, correct? with his size and his actual abilities he would make a decent linebacker. especially in the nickel situations. we could use roy instaed of burnett. No for Barbie Carpenter, he just seems like a dolphins player to me, i do not know y, he jus does. so jus let the man go or trade the soft son of a gun.

That actually wouldnt be such a bad idea..whats Roy's strength? hitting of course. But the issue with Roy is his salary cap. almost 7 million this year...that is just way too much for him to be in just nickel packages or only 10-15 snaps a game.

Roy's too small to be a LB, wouldn't be able to shed the Olineman.

RW38 is good for 2 things, special teams and linebacker in the dime. My guess is he will continue to be the highest paid part timer in the league...:

What could we get for Barbie and Biscuit???

I would take a bag of Doritos and a Pepsi.

Welcome to the zone.

Nice idea that would be met with either dead silence or uncontrolable laughter by whichever GM, Jerry tried to make that deal with.

a bucket of chicken can be pricey.

maybe a crunchwrap.

I was thinking something along the line of some pixie sticks if we can't get a bucket o chicken or a crunchwrap for them.

Let me put it this way: if you put Roy, Carp, and a stinky, stained sofa out on the curb tomorrow morning, the sofa would not be picked up last.

LMAO.

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site and was just wondering if any of you guys think the cowboys could package Roy Williams(SS) and Bobby Carpenter. I would think they have SOME value. Letting those guys go for draft picks could save roughly 3 million to help keep Burnett, not to mention extra draft choices. Similiar to what we did with Ayodele and Fasano last year. I'm sure Parcells would be interested!
both to Oakland for Johnnie Lee Higgins + a 3rd/4th rounder.

Even getting zero for both of them would be an addition. Carp can easily be replaced on special teams by a cheap rookie that might have some potential. Keeping this bust and the re-signed coaster around signals that this team is more about preserving the owner's ego than fielding a serious team. Roy is such a crazy coverage liability that he is useless on the field. He stopped being a presence against the run years ago. He's whiney, fat, rich and admittedly risk averse, sort of the anti-Dawkins.

We can trade both for a few 8th Round picks........my how their value has fallen.
