He's been injury prone, but he's an All Pro when healthy and we need experienced CB's this year. Hopefully Jerry finished eating his salty Sausage McMuffin so he can jump on this.

Itll be interesting to see what type of deal he ends up getting.

Huge risk is included here as he really hasnt played a full season since 2020. That said though this feels like one where we may look back around week 7 and say "If only Jerry had gone after Jaire Alexander this offseason".

To me he’s a risk and has a little knucklehead in him to. He should be looking for a one year deal somewhere and cash out in the offseason…if I’m his agent get him to a qb needy team with a pass rush.

Yes when healthy, but Gilmore is solid as they come. So its a coin toss.
I think age is limiting Gilmore. He’s a band aid on a gun shot wound and you hope Diggs ready at some point. Jaire is a risk but younger and still skillful and more youthful. Gilmore will be cheaper and as others have assumed may have a handshake deal in place.

Washington may be lurking around wanting to kick the tires on Alexander.

Dallas should at least explore whether he is a fit for the system. I'm still onboard with bringing Gilmore back as insurance early in the season.

Wow, a little bit of a surprise they released him. I would definitely kick the tires on him, but we all know the Dallas FO almost certainly won't.

I saw a rumor they traded for him last week….guess it wasn’t true. He and Lattimore…big names…veteran leadership.

From article a week ago.

Green Bay shopped Alexander around the league throughout the offseason, at one point reportedly nearing a deal with another club. However, when the acquiring team asked Alexander to restructure his deal and he declined, the trade fell apart.
The organization has been frustrated with Alexander entirely due to his inability to stay on the field. In the last two seasons, he played just 14 total games and he started only 4 games in 2021. When healthy, though, Alexander has been a two-time All-Pro selection and one of the best cover corners in football.

He's a cap casualty. They save 7M cutting him, and I guess he's not worth the contract to them due to his injuries.

Yea, age is definitely limiting Gilmore but he doesn't play like it, and we really need some experience in the DB room. Like you said Diggs is coming back mid season, so he wouldn't have to hold it down for long.

Alexander would definitely be a better overall option though.

I don’t think Diggs will be himself this season though…which may be ok if the pass rush is good. I like Gilmore in a limited role. I think too much playing time can expose him though.

I would suspect something similar, but all it takes is one team willing to overpay. If he is ok with a 1 year prove it deal a trio of Alexander/Diggs/Revel could be very good though to get you through 2025.
