parasitical??? Funny. the Packers are one of the top revenue teams in the leage and one of the ones required to GIVE their funds to the more deserving bigger cities that don't know how to shop their product. .
Every team is required to share their revenues, not just the Packers.

actually the higher revenue clubs like DAllas, Green Bay and a few others have to give additional revenue to the Cincinatti and Buffalos of the NFL because they don't make enough....

I love what this is doing to the Legacy of Brett and the Packers organization.

When Emmitt wanted to leave, Jerry and him hugged at the Press Conference.

Thats the way you handle a legendary player that is disgruntled.

We really don't know the whole story. It would be interesting to hear what McCarthy and the Packers management really think of Favre and know the story of everything that's gone on with him the last few seasons.

It's been my belief, going back to last off-season, that McCarthy decided last season that enough was enough and he demanded Favre put more time into his game preparation, etc. than he had been giving the organization the last few years.

Prior to last season Favre looked like a player on the downside of his career who went out and just "winged" it every week. He made some things happen by his natural ability, but he was terribly inconsistent. Then, all of a sudden this past season, Favre became a QB who played within the game plan and looked prepared. The one exception was our game against him. In that game he looked like the Favre of the last few years.

I think all of that work took the fire out of Favre. I think all of the study and game preparation took the fun out of it for him and he retired mentally exhausted. If you listen to his retirement pc, he made several comments to that effect.

Favre has a great arm, is very competetive, and has great football instincts. That being said, I don't think he's all that bright. The classroom and mental part of the game kills him, because he simply isn't very intelligent.

I don't see how teams cannot contact retired players, that doesn't make sense. If he was reinstated then I would understand but he is no longer a part of the league.

Because farve's rights is still with the Packers. He may be retired, but he is still under contractt with the Packars. and that makes it against the rules to contact him without the teams permission.

I do feel this is tampering. Green Bay wanted Favre back but he says no. He then retires. Then all within a week, he is thinking about making a return, demands that the Pakers release him, and then start talking junk about managment. He wants to go out on top and with Minnesota.

Agree. I don't think he wants to play for the Packers because they demand he put too much time into the mental preparation and that's not the way he played his entire career.

I believe he's been scheming for a while to get out of GB and go play with his buddy in Minnesota.

Hey, maybe there was a wiretap or a hidden microphone. Then the Feds could get involved and this mess could go to a whole new level.

But it's pretty much killed the Adam/TO/Romo stories for now.
