All we need to do is get thru the Rams game without any significant injuries and I like our chances vs. the Packers.

Wow so we got AZ without DJ and now the Pac without Montgomery. He hasnt been a traditional RB for them but the guy is dangerous, especially in the screen game. We need to employ the same defense we used against AZ and put a crap load of DBS on the field.

It seems to me that Patriots and Packers, more than any other teams, pull every possible trick out of the bag, every junk yard dog borderline penalty but it's not a penalty, type of plays to get themselves easy 1st downs and TDs.

Rodgers and Brady throw to more wide open receivers than any other QBs. If you only watch the replays, note the location of defenders when a Patriot or Packer catches most of their big plays.

Schemes matter. How they get that wide open often involves things the Cowboys would probably get flagged for, but both those teams scheme for open receivers with picks all the time.

Yup and there are no two better in the league. It seems like almost every pass Dak throws is contested.

Am I the only one who doesn't see a problem with the hit on Adams? How many times have we seen WR's spin out of broken tackles for TD's?

That was a bad hit. I mean he had him dead to rights...a normal tackle will do. That was a malicious hit.

I just don't see it. I think the NFL is going soft. The flag on Clinton Dix earlier in the game was downright embarrassing for the league. I just don't see the NFL getting any better in the next 5 years. I worry this game will be nonexistent in 10 years.

Definitely a dirty hit. The "He's still a runner" doesn't mean that you can just launch yourself head-first and deliver a shot like that. He's already engaged with another defender, it's not like he's 1 on 1 in the open field with a defender. Same thing why the chop block rule is in place...when you are engaged already, you don't have much of a chance to protect yourself from a low hit or in this case, a headshot. The receiver is as defenseless as can be in that situation, no way to brace for impact.

No one is saying that Trevathan shouldn't have tackled Adams at that point but he easily could have wrapped up or aimed for the shoulder/ribs.

Spearing with the crown of the helmet has been illegal since something like 1976, calling that particular play dirty isn't based on some new reading of the rules. That play would have been a cheap shot if it was done to Tony friggin' Dorsett.

Just in general, if you take a shot at a guy who is being held down by somebody else you're a b----made f---boy.
