Packers vs. Cards Thread

The game was absolutely irritating and boring, until the last like seven minutes and that goes down as one of the greatest, if not greatest finishes ever.

I want to apologize to Carson Palmer for calling him a choker. And I officially am done bad mouthing the bad man known as Aaron Rodgers. I felt bad for him during the press conference too. He's cocky sure, but he's a good dude.

Best game of the year..easily

Rodgers is a cold beast....

Take a look at all the aspects of this image -- down and distance, time remaining, score, etc and then consider the game some made it to overtime.

Yes, it was a absolutely crazy finish.

The run by Fitz.. But the escape by Carson to get him the ball...

What did Fitz have in the 2nd half? 170 yards receiving?

Something like that. That was a great adjustment by Arians to start targeting Fitz. They moved him everywhere.

When I watch these teams with guys like Arians who has above average QBs like Palmer, I just feel bad for Romo. This guy's talent has been wasted on such bad coaching and no creativity.

Dallas should be competing every year for the SB.

a fantastic game that should have seen both teams get the ball in overtime

Packers played most of the game with their 5th, 6th, and 7th Receivers. Jordy, Cobb, Adams and Montgomery were their top four receivers and all were gone. Abby was a PS player earlier in the year, Janis cannot be trusted to run the right route, and Jones is on his last legs. That game shows the greatness of Rodgers just to be able to keep them in the game offensively. No complaints about the game from my end. They were not supposed to be in the game after the first quarter but the long drives by Rodgers took the steam out of the Cards defense. If Sam Shields makes that interception then they turn the Cards away and may have been a different story.

Regardless, All you can hope for as a fan is to get to the playoffs. Anything can happen after that. Packers are still young and should be good with Rodgers in his prime. Hopefully, TT can get a little depth for the offensive line and a fast TE and the offense is set. Get a new ILB and move Clay back outside. They are wasting his talent. Defensive backs are in excellent shape.

And BTW, the kid QB Hundley that was 3rd on the depth chart looks like a pretty good QB if something does happen to Rodgers.

Why? You can't give both teams the ball in overtime if the first team scores a td and there's a simple reason why that everyone overlooks. The team that gets the ball first has to play straight up. If they get to 4th down, they have to punt. If you give the other team the ball after a td is scored, they are in 4 down territory the entire drive. How is it fair that one team has to do it with 3 downs to get a 1st and he other team gets 4 downs. If they make this rule, I guarantee you everyone will kickoff to start overtime because getting the ball 2nd would provide a huge advantage. The rule is perfect the way it is. Just don't give up a TD to start OT and you get your shot to win. If you can't do that, you deserve to lose.

both teams should get the ball in overtime, I know it makes too much sense.
