FWIW. I like that Aaron Rogers kid. He really impressed me last night.

When he came in and got within 3 I was scared...during the Preseason this year Aaron Rodgers moved the ball very well compared to Brett Favre...It actually seemed like the Pack was going to have a very poor year because the first team O with Favre in during the Preseason games just couldn't move the ball at all, but once Rodgers got in there, they'd start driving. He may very well be the guy that steps in for Favre when he retires.

Kinda like how people here were whining about Henry missing the New England game?

Look, if we were missing Romo, Ellis, and Henry and lost by a mere ten points, I'd say we'd consider that "relevant" and "a factor." For the moment, Pack fans have every right to speculate about "what ifs?" January will decide whether they're delusional or not.

The only people making those excuses are the fans who don't know what they are talking about and they are in the minority for Packer fans. Don't generalize all Packer fans into the group of using excuses. We got beat bad and it wouldn't have mattered if KGB (yes it's KGB, who the hel l is KNG?) or Woodson were in.
For the most part GB fans are admitting that we aren't as good as you guys, quit making those generalizations based off of a few stupid Packer fans.
As most fans here understood that New England beat us solidly and fair and square.

It's fair to bring up injuries in a 'what if' kind of way but the way we determine the order of teams is by playing a season's worth of games and then the playoffs.

The Packers are still in good shape and are still a good to great team. I hope we meet again in the conference championship.

Even if KGB and Woodson had played, and Favre came back in the game, that certain group of GB fans would simply switch to the tune of "well KGB, Woodson, and Favre were'nt 100% and we only lost by 10". It was nothing but a built in excuse.

This is becoming eerily similar to the giants game where they had lots of excuses after the first lost.

"you beat us twice but we are still the better team" - that one? :laugh2:

Good post BB. I don't think that the outcome would have been that different if Woodson and KGB had played. I thought the offensive scheme the Packers chose was not even remotely close to what they have played this year. They do not throw 8 bombs in a half. Made no sense. Several plays they went for the big score they had WRs running free underneath and Favre ignored them. Just stupid. Maybe Jerry Jones has pictures of Brett and he wants to make sure that he plays poorly in Texas stadium.

And the defensive scheme was horrible. Trying to play zone when they have not done it all year was equally stupid.

And only God knows where Al Harris head was last night....

....

As you said, MOST fans!!! There are a few Packer fans that may want to lay a bunch of excuses out there just like a few Cowboys had excuses when the Pats beat them, but that doesnt change the reality that the Packers have to get a whole lot better before they can beat DAllas. I don't know if that can happen this year or not.

When an opponent is overmatched, it is very common for the opposition to force them out of what they like to do.

The Cowboys front front along with a blitzing Nate Jones and Bowen forced the Green Bay offense to adjust and at times Max Protect.

The ONLY reason you saw Rodgers have some early success is because the Cowboys dropped back in Zone, probably trying to get an inexperienced QB to throw in coverage and force a Turnover.

Once we started to become aggressive again, Rodgers was toast too.

Also, they didn't prepare for Aaron Rodger, they prepared for Brett Favre, so it probably took some time for the defense to adjust to his tendencies.

I find it funny that people are using the Woodson injury as an excuse. We attacked the other starting CB (Harris) instead of the backup replacing Woodson. There might be some merit to the excuse had we gon after woodson's replacement, instead we went right after the other half of the "best CB tandem in the NFL" (according to Al Harris)

As for KGB, that doesn't bother me as much. If we were without DWare and had lost the game, many of us here would be pointing to that being a major reason why we lost the game.
you may be on to something here...you can bet T.O. and the offense wanted to preempt all the "if woodson had played business"...Harris is a good DB but his style of play has a lot to do with his snubbing as a pro-bowler...he's a cheap player and i was hoping T.O. would'nt get caught up in his garbage...you can always tell teams and players who've never done anything in the league...
