If anyone should understand "It's just the preseason" mantra, it would be Commander fans.

Extremeskins perfected the "art" some time ago.

BS! these are real games! didn't you know they cut out the preseason and expanded the season to 20 games? it's just happenstance that we're playing teams we don't normally play, in stadiums we don't normally play in...

As long as we're complaining, he could have had a TD if he ran behind his blockers rather than in front of them. The punter and the guy behind them wouldn't have been in a position to tackle him.

Yep, saw that.

He looked to be hitting high gear instead of cutting back to the left behind his blocking. Maybe with more reps, he'll learn to set the blocks up a little bit better but you got to like the talent this guy seems to have, speed and then some. :a-team:

Is it preseason still?..........................doesn't matter, here are my suggestions.

-Fire Wade and Stewart.

-Cut Adam Jones, Roy, Carp, Colombo (for the penalty he took yesterday),... let's give up on Amendola, start Brad over Romo, Hannah over Witten, Austin over TO (when Austin recovers)................ And i will take over as an owner and will bring in Dan Snyder as the GM.

There i fixed everything.

Your welcome.

Adam Jones feeling much better

Brian Davis E-mail News tips

Adam Jones swore that he wouldn't play as bad against the Broncos as he did last week against the Chargers. If he played bad, Jones said, "I give y'all permission to blast me." He felt more comfortable and it showed.

On his first punt return of the preseason, Jones dodged one defender and picked up 24 yards. Jones couldn't believe Denver's punter, Sam Paulescu, made the tackle. Jones got up and spiked the ball in disgust, which became a 5-yard penalty last season while Jones was suspended.

"I'm not supposed to get tackled by no kicker," Jones said. "It possible that I could have broken it. I have to go back and look at it. But that was my first one. It can't do anything but get better, because all I do is work hard."

Jones, who had six tackles, should have made his first interception in the third quarter. He read backup quarterback Patrick Ramsey all the way on a pass intended for Clifford Russell. Jones couldn't hang on, though, and the pass fell incomplete.

"My whole thing is I'm trying to get better every week," Jones said. "I don't think I missed any tackles today. But I'll just keep working hard in practice an dit will pay off at the end."

Adam Jones Speaks
Pacman Jones said after the preseason opener that we the evil media had full permission to rip him if he played as poorly against the Broncos as he did against the Chargers. If you remember in that game, Jones missed tackles, got beat on passes and gave up a long pass interference penalty, too.

He was much better against the Broncos, so we the evil media can't throw him under the bus and drive over him repeatedly.

Jones was good against the Broncos; he had a 25-yard punt return, a pass breakup and didn't whiff on any tackles.

"I'll let you all figure that out," Jones said when asked if he thought he had improved. "If I wasn't, I gave you permission to blast me. I'm trying to get better every week. We had a lot of rust to get out, but all I can do is get better as a player and a person. ... I felt a lot more comfortable than I did last week. I did extra work on my tackling."

After Preseason Week 1 it was rather obvious Jones' timing was way, way off. He hadn't played a regular game in more than a year and it showed.

"It was better, I'll tell you that. I don't think I missed any tackles today. I'll get better every week. I'll keep working hard and it will pay off," Jones said.

As far as his running tiff with Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall, it kept up after the game ... but it was all in good fun. The two are actually friends.

"I don't call him Brandon. I call him Tyrone. His name is Little Tyrone," Jones said. "That's my boy. Me and Brandon are real good friends. We were on the phone the other night. He's a great athlete, he's just ain't T.O. yet. He might be a baby T.O. but he's not T.O. yet."

First off, for those continuing to post "It's just PRESEASON", try reading the 1st post again & notice that I made a point to say that I hope he gets mistakes out of the way in THESE games.

As for those saying he didn't "Blow it", a loss of yards isn't exactly NOT blowing it either. Also the EXCUSE that the rule was made while he was still on suspension is a WEAK Excuse. With all that time off, he should have been STUDYING these new rules as he apparently is a hot tempered person & could be prone to break it.

I thought he played well last night but the loss of yards ( even if it's a small amount ) doesn't IMPROVE your teams ability to score. Penalties in general killed us last night. Penalties of that nature should be easier to prevent doing than others. Next week I'm sure he'll keep that in mind.

I did respond to his post. But his point was weak. Like Pacman will do that on any regular season sunday. Ya'll need to relax. It is only preseason and these penalties wont be there in the regular season. This post was not the post about the Dline pressure troubles or anything that could linger into the season. This was an isolated incident that wont be repeated. Hence the 'Relax, its preseason' response.

I could be mistaken, because I wasn't watching that intensely(because it's PRESEASON), but didn't we score on that drive?

I think he will be a beast when he is in the game as a third corner. He sure isn't ready to start yet, but that will come in time.

#1. You don't know for a FACT that Jones wont make this mistake again in the Regular season.

#2. Once again, you don't know for a FACT that ANY player wont make a similar penalty like this in the Regular season.

#3. Relax, it's only PRESEASON & these PRESEASON Mistakes COULD creep back up in the REGULAR season.
