Pacman Jones has attempted to enter alcohol treatment centers twice this week.
The NFL, however, has stepped in and will send Jones to the treatment center that they deem appropriate. The counseling is expected to help Pacman's chances of playing again. Meanwhile, the Cowboys are paying the NFL $20,588 for each game Pacman misses.

Interesting. He can't just choose which one he goes to. Now this I don't get, honestly, because as long as he goes, and is getting the treatment, why does it actually matter which one he goes to?

Is there something unsavory, or piss poor, about the ones he's choosing?

I hate to admit it but I have experiance in these matters... The treatment varies WILDLY at these places. Some are like a country club with supervision. I would prefer the NFL choose the one they feel is best for Pacman. Because that also happens to be whats best for both the Cowboys and Adam Jones in the long run. He has a problem. He needs to deal with it. This is NOT going to be pleasant or easy for him I'm afraid. He has to change how he makes decisions in his life. This a life teaching type of thing that he has never learned. Doesn't matter if he ever plays a down of football again. This is about understanding how to make choices in life.

I wish him the best... But not holding my breath here either. This is a battle he will fight every day of his life. He has to be ready for this.

Hmm, maybe the nfl has certain grades on some of these rehabs, and the ones that adam jones is going to is either inferior to what the nfl thinks, or could possibly be that the treatment center that adam jones has been trying to get into, is a high pay scale rehab center, and the nfl doesnt want to foot that big a bill.
Its either one or the other, but something does sound fishy.

anyway someone posted last evening that adam jones finally did officially check into a rehab yesterday evening,

He needs ULTRA guidance and hand holding obviously. He cannot do this alone. Partially he doesnt want to change.

I really dont understand how you dont understand this. HIS CHOICES are why he is here. Like it or not, he should not even have any more chances. If I were him I would do exactly what they wanted.

America's Team wants him and he wont even make a real effort.
