Pacquaio Vs Marquez

In the real world, Marquez 2-1-0 vs. Manny

In the politicking world of boxing, Marquez 0-1-2 vs. Manny

I watched it on streaming and the Primetime announcers were pretty good. The color guy was Amir Kahn. He said before the decision was announced, he would be willing to fight Marquez after his Dec fight. THAT'S how sure he was that Marquez won the fight, and he and Paquaio are great friends.

Razor thin decision should have went JMM's way, and I'm a hardcore Manny fan saying this. That 116-112 score was COMPLETELY ridiculous.

IMO, I had it 115-114 with round 10 being even for me.

Want to know why boxing is dying?

Watch that fight and try to tell me Pacquiao won. Not sure if I'm watching an actual sport or WWE (I have nothing against WWE either).

I am so glad that I did not pay for this fight and instead watched it on a live stream. I am officially done with boxing. I'm not saying bad decisions don't happen in MMA but they certainly happen with alot less regularity than they do in boxing. This was a robbery for Marquez and in no way could have being legitimately scored for Pacquaio. Done and done with boxing.

Yep, I stopped paying for boxing a long time ago for this very reason. They have sucked the legitimacy right out of it. I have no idea what the judges were thinking other than outside of a KO, they were going to give the fight to Pacquaio.

The judge that scored it 116-112 should never be allowed to judge again. What a freaking joke

Yup, the luster of a Mayweather vs. Pac fight (if it ever happens) would have been gone.

Whoever had this fight 116-112 should never be allowed to judge another fight.

He/she will. Just like the judges at Holyfield and Lewis they will continue to screw up more fights. I will never spend another dollar on a boxing PPV even if Pacquioa vs Mayweather happens. I can't wait for the UFC to finish off boxing.

IGuryashkinESPN: @stevemaxboxing: Funny, but 2 of the 3 judges had MP winning the 12th. the 1 who had MP winning by 4(Trowbridge) had him losing it. Hmmmm [via Twitter]

The guy clearly has NO clue or a much fatter wallet after tonight.

Mayweather is never going to fight Pac. Just not going to happen. Mayweather has had ample opportunity if he wanted to. I don't think he wants to fight him. Although, after watching tonight he might change his mind.

Regarding Pacquaio, he looked a lot more technically sound than he has before. He was always more unconventional and the got off on good angles. But not tonight. He was very predictable. I don't know if it is a change in style or what but it just seemed like a different Pac.

Well, I still love the sport. And even tonight's fight was pretty good. Very good actually. t was just the outcome was (I hate to say it) rigged.

It's more Marquez than just being a different Pac. Watch the other two fights, and it's more of the same. This isn't the first time Marquez has got robbed - though this is BY FAR the worse of the two.

I agree this might make Mayweather step up and fight him now.....

Agree that the action in the ring was entertaining and compelling despite the bungled but entirely predictable decision at the end.

I know. I thought at minimum on the draw, Pac had lost. On the other hand, normally when Pac would throw his back hand he didn't tonight. Before he found more angles and tonight he was just a straight shooter for the most part. IDK, either way, I am bummed at the outcome. I thought Amir Kahn would have made a good fight for Marquez as well. Would loved to have seen it.

Its not the sweet science I hate but rather the numerous bungled/rigged decisions. How many great fights like this does Marquez have? At 38 not many and I think he probably would have like to have retired on top.

Yeah, I think he has to be about done. He may have a fight or two left but he's about done.

As a side note, for whatever reason, every time I see your screen name I can't help but see....

LOL!

i personally think it should have been a draw, but i was always of the school of thought that if you wanted to become a champion, you couldnt just win it, you had to TAKE it. as good as JMM was tonight, i dont think he did enough to do that.

I knew Marquez had to KO Pacman inorder to win. No way do they give Marquez the fight in decision, Pacmans the champ and is headed to a Mayweather fight. it made no sense for him to lose. Marquez was by far the better boxer tonight. this was rigged.
