So the Browns got their 5th back and the Panthers still need a QB. If a first round QB is not with the team that drafted him a mere 5 years later, that should tell you something. Those guys are not that good.

The Panthers have been gifted. They become the beneficiaries of the Browns self imposed misfortune.

Okay, maybe Baker doesn't make it, so what? You get to test drive a #1 overall pick for a measly 5 mil. you didn't have to commit a rare opportunity at a #1 overall pick. You don't have to instantly commit a fourth of your salary cap on a "maybe"..

Think about how many QB's were a top 5 pick and languished with a terrible team, got called a "bust" only to end up with another team that gave them an opportunity to shine....or at least be part of something special and not mess it up.

How many top 5 QB's ended up resuscitating their career while going to a Super Bowl with their new team?
