Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks to Miss Entire 2025 NFL Season

That's brutal, but not unexpected considering when the 2nd one occured timeline wise.

Shame, talented back, but could be derailed due to injury. Worse luck than Dobbins with the Ravens

Remember the meltdowns last year when we passed on him? He was damaged goods. He is what he is, a guy that just won't be able to get healthy enough to sustain anything to help your team. Wasted pick by Carolina.

Blue might become what others wanted Brooks to be. And we got him for dirt cheap. I call that great diligence by the scouts.

I recall Bryan Broaddus having a fit in the 2024 draft when we didn't draft him. Looking back, I now understand why he's no longer working as a scout or talent evaluator. Which RB in the 2024 draft was a stud? I seriously can't think of 1.
Because he got injured?

Some awful takes lately; take the rest of the weekend off bud.

Bud, he was hurt way prior to that. The second injury happened in December. Two major injuries . He had an ACL injury prior to the draft, then the second one in December. The first one should have taken him off any board. Now he might not play much more in the league. I'm just fine thank you. Clear eyed view. Broaddus was wrong back then, and your way off now.

When your a RB and your coming back from not 1, but 2 ACL injuries back to back in a span less than a year, your not going to be the same. A RB must be able to have full confidence and ability to cut and hit it fast. In Brooks case, it's very devastating because his game is about his cutting abilities and speed in the hole. The burst. Now he's got a long long road ahead. I wish the kid luck.

Panthers prepared for this by signing Rico and drafting Travis Etienne with Dallas' 4th round pick from the Mingo trade (damn, I'd feel a lot better with Rico n Etienne), so the Panthers run game is sitting pretty, still.

As for Johnathan Brooks, I love the decision to sit the year out because he's still young and needs to get healthy first, in order, to start his career. This safe approach is the avenue I wanted his former teammate Overshown to take with his 2nd injury, but DeMo is willing to risk it all.
