The Giants shouldn't have even been in that game. Not with Wades defense.:D

Parcells was the only good thing that's happened to this franchise since Super Bowl XXX. He's the reason for Romo and the resurrection from three horrid 5-11 seasons.
That's why he told David Lee the first day Romo stepped on the practice field that he'd never make it in the NFL.

He might be right yet.

Dumb statement. I knew I had you on ignore for a reason.

Romo needs to do way way better, no? I'm a huge fan of his but he doesn't get a pass. He needs to get back to his roots or he will be a Delhome type before he realises it.
Homer away.

He's already made it in the NFL.

Even at his worst, he's better than at least half the starting quarterbacks in the game.

Perception of making it I guess. He got paid and had one really great year.
Yes injuries killed him this year. I'm losing trust in him.

Eli Manning. Has he "made it?"

Dude hasn't has a single season with a QB rating over 90. Romo has a "down year" due to multiple injuries and puts up a 91.4 QB rating.

You're an idiot of you don't think Tony has already made it as an NFL QB.

Idiot.

Thnx.:lmao: Don't be so upset. Romo has played well but has played terrible
at times. There are alot of people who think he sucks. I just don't think he's made it yet. He's done well but I wouldn't call him a success just yet.

You to touchy dude. Like a kid geesh.

who cares about a freaking qb rating? is that how you measure how good a qb is? how's Romo's qb rating in playoff games and in december? the only stat that matters is wins and losses.

BP sure did find a way to keep Romo around with all the craziness with Q and Hutch and Henson though.

Romo has had terrible games, but he's been a consistently good or great QB ever since he took over the starting job.

While there *may* be a lot of people who think he actually sucks, there aren't a lot of people who have even the faintest clue what they're watching when they turn on a football game who think he sucks. theogt is just letting you know you're in the former group. Look around you. If the other members of your group have recently learned to count all the way up to 'potato,' but can't yet be trusted to organize a drawer full of spoons, then theogt is probably right.

:lmao2: While your little analogy was funny at best, you miss the point smarty pants.:p: How are you measuring his success? He made big bucks?
He's dating a hot chick with big bucks? He wears the star? he's maintained a a good QB Rating? His regular season win loss record or his post season win loss record?

I like the guy, always did and he's the only QB we have had since Troy.
But I'm getting a bit leery of his "made it" attitude.

Guess that makes me an "idiot" I have seen some QBs have this kind of success only to fade away before. Romo needs to get back to being Romo.

Now go organize a drawer full of knives. Take the other idiot with ya.

Just the Cowboy parts paraphrased for anyone interested:

on the loss in Seattle: "everyone forgets that we had them backed up after the fumbled snap and let them out of there. If we stop them at the goal line and they punt we get it at the 45 with plenty of time to get in position. But Alexander made a great run."

On Romo: "We'll find out about him. I like him, I like him alot, he's a little impulsive. He needs the regulators on him, things can get a little chaotic without the regulators on him. He's a good kid, smart, wants to win, likes football, he's got all the ingredients. He can't do it himself and has to rely on his other people."

On Jerry: "I really had a good time there. He's a good man, he's a man of his word, he's very benevolent - people don't know that side of him but I do, I have a very high regard for him. He's done an awful lot for the NFL, there's alot of people emulating what's he'd done with marketing and such."

On Owens: "He's not a mean spirited kid and he produced for me. (Can you count on him when the ships going down - question from Russo) I don't know that, I was only with him for a year. This guy has produced at a high level and had a great career, you have to give him credit.

Yeah, sounds like he hated Jones, Owens and everything about Dallas....just like alot of the "insiders" on the board said:rolleyes: . Of course, this interview will be followed by the usual: "he's just giving the high road response".

I've never thought Phillips was an ideal HC, but he does add something to the defense. Parcells added nothing to any area of game day coaching.

Seriously, are you this naive?

In your opinion He added nothing ?

Funny, I dont remember the inmates running the asylum then, I dont remember the coach being told no when he wants to punt, no matter how dumb it is.

Nothing to any area of coaching, lol. Howbout all of it. You think it is a twist of fate that almost every qb that plays for him ends up with nearly the same numbers? You think his teams being good against the run almost always is a twist of fate?

Good grief.

and please spare me how much wade has brought to the defense. Its the same. We used to give up big plays in the passing game, this year we gave them up in the running game. And phillips had his olb ready to go. Parcells kept getting a beaten up singleton and lost ellis in 06.

What wade gets is sacks. That is the one cosistent thing his defense have always achieved sacks. And if you want to come after people and attack you can get sacks with the type of talent we have. On the flip side when your interior players are attacking there is a chance you are going to give up big plays on the ground and we most surely did.

BOth phillips and parcells are outstanding defensive minds. Both have had struggles with this group. Both have made comments about having to scale things back, parcells basically played a 2 man deep look all the time at the end of 06 and tried to simplify the most he could. These players have proven to be inconsistent. Both coaches have achieved the same results.

saying He brought nothing as a coach is about as naive as you can get, and since I am the president of his fan club, you sir fit naive to a T.

he has complimented Jerry Jones numerous times. He has had the chance to throw owens under the bus numerous times and he never has a single time.

There are many reasons for this.

A. He has nothing to gain from this.

B. There is no need to feed the media this crap, because then they keep coming back for more.

C. He genuinely likes Jerry Jones, said as much from day 1. He always commments on Jerry's business mind and marketing ability, which jerry excels at, he has never said a peep about his talent acquisition abilities.

D. He did an interview with laufenberg last summer at his house in saratoga springs. Laufenberg asked him if he fined owens more than any player he has ever coached and he said yes and said that didnt matter he worked hard for him and that is all he asked. Parcells would never sit there and demean another coach or player like that, especially when it doensnt matter.

E. He is not an excuse maker. There are alot of coaches and players who would say well I couldnt win because........He doesnt do that. He always gives examples and specific moments for when and why things happened. Just like he did in talking about the seattle game in 06. The team wasnt good enough that day and had a few bad breaks, no one to blame but themselves.

Its how everyone should handle these types of questions and situations, its just that everyone doesnt have the ability to do that.
