I've never thought Phillips was an ideal HC, but he does add something to the defense. Parcells added nothing to any area of game day coaching.
Seriously, are you this naive?
In your opinion He added nothing ?
Funny, I dont remember the inmates running the asylum then, I dont remember the coach being told no when he wants to punt, no matter how dumb it is.
Nothing to any area of coaching, lol. Howbout all of it. You think it is a twist of fate that almost every qb that plays for him ends up with nearly the same numbers? You think his teams being good against the run almost always is a twist of fate?
Good grief.
and please spare me how much wade has brought to the defense. Its the same. We used to give up big plays in the passing game, this year we gave them up in the running game. And phillips had his olb ready to go. Parcells kept getting a beaten up singleton and lost ellis in 06.
What wade gets is sacks. That is the one cosistent thing his defense have always achieved sacks. And if you want to come after people and attack you can get sacks with the type of talent we have. On the flip side when your interior players are attacking there is a chance you are going to give up big plays on the ground and we most surely did.
BOth phillips and parcells are outstanding defensive minds. Both have had struggles with this group. Both have made comments about having to scale things back, parcells basically played a 2 man deep look all the time at the end of 06 and tried to simplify the most he could. These players have proven to be inconsistent. Both coaches have achieved the same results.
saying He brought nothing as a coach is about as naive as you can get, and since I am the president of his fan club, you sir fit naive to a T.
