Parcells for GM!! :lmao:

He'd pull Marco Rivera out of retirement to play right guard and demand he play with knee braces and 4 shots of cortisone in his back before games.

The timing of this is fishy because it happened on the exact same day that Bobby Carpenter was released.

If Jerry really said that, it just shows how clueless he is about football.

It was one of his stupid drunkin moments.

You think he'd actually work with a guy that through him under the bus like jerry did?? If he did he'd prolly drive the organziation into the ground even more.

Jerry was caught secretely on tape during an informal question and answer session at some cocktail party, I believe. We all say some stupid things at times but he should not have stated it and he did man up and call Parcells to apologize.

That being the case we are also talking about a head coach who quit our team despite having significant authority including player acquisition and who also was covertly lobbying for the Giants GM position while an employee of the Dallas Cowboys.

Parcells announced this a couple weeks ago...

Would be interesting to see if the whoever takes over for BP fires Sparano.

Would love to have him back in Dallas

I think BP will act as a consultant and that is it. Which he would be good at. If Wilson had a brain left he would go for BP to come in and clean house.

It will be interesting to see where he goes. He is one of the best there ever was. I think now you would look for him to build the structure within an organization and let the guys he hires do the day to day operations.

Look at the talent both in players and coaches he found while in Dallas. While he had some mistakes, it wasn't pure luck how our talent got signiificantly better both in personnel and coaches on his watch.

That being said, I doubt he'd come back here.

He was miserable in Dallas. Not only would Jerry never do it, he'd never want to. Miami was about as perfect as it could get for him. Since he's leaving, I think he's finally going to quit for good.

If Parcells stays for the 2007 season, I believe Sparano stays as the OC and we win a Super Bowl. He left one year too early.

He probably would have taken Garrett in some capacity. If memory serves correctly, he was very instrumental in getting him on board. I do not think he would have been handed the reigns and hopscotched Sparano as he did though.

MONDAY NIGHT football mentioned he is leavin Miami.

Personally with I think if he came in as the headcoach and
kept wade and garrett as coordinators, this could work. Dallas is in bad need
of an authoritarian and Parcells knows the team already. Accountability and discipline would be immediate and respected.

What do u think?
I think he failed in Dallas. He failed in Miami. He jumps ship so he doesn't have to face the music. Move on.

First off, Parcells and Wade both like the 3-4 defense, but they run completely different versions of it. Parcells is so hard headed, he would NEVER accept Wade's version.

Second, Parcells is retired and will never coach again.

He didn't fail in Dallas. He brought them back from a perpetual 5-11 team to a playoff team loaded with good players.

Nah, I loved what the Tuna did for this organization but I think it is time for the guy to finally retire from Football.

Agreed, but I'd like somebody that has the fortitude to keep Jerry away from in-season player/coaching decisions, and off of the sidelines during games. Parcells had kind of lost it as a game day coach, but he rescued this team from Jerry Ball and 4 short years later we are again in desperate need of the same type of relief effort.

Then barbie would still be here, probably starting in the base defense. Guys like pat mcquistan would still be here, along with every player parcells has ever drafted, whether they suck or not
