Parcells Teams in the Playoffs (Sans "Hoodie")

There was a Cowboys flashack in Miami...

Poor special teams (issues in the kicking game), stupid penalties (false starts, fair catch interference), turnovers (after only having 13 during the year)...

I know the experts love the Tuna (and compared to the doffus I certainly miss him), but can any off his teams win without Billy B as his DC?

Just a thought...by the way Miami fans, you don't get the 1-15 schedule next year so good luck.

Its not because of that they had easy schedule. Its because AFC East had to play AFC West and NFC West in their rotation. They wont get that next year and thier WildCat offense will not be so hot.

But Sparano might have this team win maybe 8 games next year with some luck. I doubt he wins double digits, if he does, then we can all agree, that Sparano is for real.

It all goes hand in hand...i give them 6 next year...so I take the under. Don't even want to guess on ours... :(

Sparano.

0 playoff wins as an assistant head coach.
0 playoff wins as a head coach.

Can you say, "loser"?

The way I look at it is... The Dolphins still did more with less, compared to the Dallas Cowboys. I believe Sporano is still a better head coach than Phillips or Boy Wonder Garrett.

Sour Grapes?

Not sure why Tony Sporano, Bill Parcells and the Dolphins have to be thrown under the bus simply because they made the Playoffs, overachieved and took advantage of the opportunities thrown their way.

I love how folks already proclaim them dead in 2009.

Oh wait, we didn't make the Playoffs so we are forced to talk about the 2009 Season.

That is simply a fact.....The Dolphins did way more with mediocre talent, just like Parcells took the Cowboys with Carter as their QB and Hambrick as their RB to the playoffs. That was one of the best coaching jobs I have ever seen. Unfortunately he was totally burned out in his last season.

I wanted Miami go down because I didn't want to see Parcells leave here and then get that 1-15 team a playoff win right out of the gate.

No doubt though that what he and Sparano did in one year is a major accomplishment.

Just curious = the BP haters want you to forget what he did with the Jets and Patriots. What happened here was different from what happened there and what happens in Miami might be different from all the others. But haters with agenda's will always tell only part of the story.

Agreed.

At least they had the opportunity to advance. But, really, everyone could see that Miami was outclassed today.

The Ravens have the best defense in the playoffs, especially with the veteran leadership of Ray Lewis and that ballhawk extraordinaire Ed Reed.

It seems like everyone the Ravens get on defense excels. Must be the system.

They did more with less this year than almost anyone in the league with the exception of Atlanta which I could argue was a good team with a Vick problem last year. This was a great job and it will be interesting to see how they do next year.

It was a great job. They also benefitted from the schedule rotation and by improving the most important position on the field with a player who managed to stay healthy and play at a pro-bowl level this year.

And the Giants. They were 4-12 the year before he took over. Hell, they had 1 winning season out of the 10 seasons before he took over.

Why not fans throw the Cowboys under the bus daily. I don't know what the Dolphins will do next year with a 1st place schedule and with Brady returning to the Pats so while this was a very good year it was still a year that leads to the question of how good are the dolphins?
