Why not fans throw the Cowboys under the bus daily. I don't know what the Dolphins will do next year with a 1st place schedule and with Brady returning to the Pats so while this was a very good year it was still a year that leads to the question of how good are the dolphins?

I wish people would learn - once and for all - how the scheduling works in today's NFL.

Only TWO GAMES on the entire schedule are effected by how you finished the season. TWO WHOLE GAMES. All the other 14 games are predetermined and will be played regardless of whether you finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th.

It did not change the fact they played a very weak schedule if you can't figure that out I'm sorry. As for only 2 games Maimi went down to the wire to make the playoffs those 2 games can be big

The way I look at it is... The Dolphins still did more with less, compared to the Dallas Cowboys. I believe Sporano is still a better head coach than Phillips or Boy Wonder Garrett.

Sparano is a head coach. Garrett is the offensive coordinator. There is a huge difference between the two. I do not think Garrett would be running ship the same way as Wade.

What exactly does the 2009 Dolphins or any Dolphins team for that matter have to do with the failures of the Dallas Cowboys?

Absolutely nothing.

Some people seem bitter that the Dolphins had more success than we did this and want to downplay the season they had.

Translation: I got called out and instead of being a man and admitting I didn't know the scheduling procedures I'm gonna defend my ignorance filled opinion anyway.

Parcells' MO since the Giants has been: Rebuild deplorable franchises into winners, but not of the ultimate sense. It's remarkable what he had his fingerprints all over in Miami, as what he did taking a Quincy Carter and Troy Hambrick-led team to the playoffs. He and his staff are remarkable at getting average players to play above themselves.

But Parcells certainly hasn't had any luck turning teams into Super Bowl winners since the Giants, and from the look of things, I doubt Miami changes that anytime soon. Like so many have said, they're reminiscent of our '03 squad he took to the playoffs. Miami will need a big talent overhaul still to become a true consistent threat.

I suspect that the Miami fans aren't complaining about where they ended up this year. Sour grapes and what may happen in 2009 aside, that was one heck of a job by Parcells and Sparano.

They maxed the talent on that roster, got the players to buy into what they were doing and had a cohesive unit that won the final game of the season (an away game no less) to get into the playoffs; Those are all things that this years Dallas team failed at miserably.

Not bitter about the Dolphins but you don't seem to get they played no one and any decent team they faced they lost how good are the dolphins? I have seen them play and I have not been overly impressed by them.

Evidently you don't translate very well. You say it is only 2 team difference and it came down to the final week of the season for Miami 2 games makes a big difference. It also does not change the fact that the best team in that division was without their top player I doubt Miami gets that luxury next season
