Proclaim it? The numbers say it's so now go ahead and prove me wrong...........
Parsons snaps at off-ball LB:

  • Last year: 56%
  • Week #1: 35%
  • Week #2: 5%
These numbers say that so far this season he’s been LB for 20% of his snaps. That proves he is a floater and is not “full time” at DE.

Not going to call Parsons a DE but will say he is a very special Defensive Lineman who can play anywhere in the front 7. But will be paid like a DE

There's a huge advantage to be able to move him around to different spots. It keeps the offense on its toes that you don't know where he's coming from or going to.

And thank God for that because he is ten times better at that position than he is at LB. I said last year that once Gregory comes back Parsons rush attempts would be a lot less and I was right about that but now that he's gone and with Lawrence's sack numbers being way down Parsons lines up on the LOS almost every play that he's in there unless they use him in a stunt from time to time but he's still coming. Plus with so much attention put on Parsons it really frees up the other guys to go one on one with the o-lineman which will result in bigger numbers on the stat sheet. Quinn will continue to use this approach as long as he's D-coordinator and will put a ton of pressure on any team's game plans when it comes to stopping Parsons.

Parsons is a Lion that's all he is full time.

Everyone should want him attacking the ball as much as possible. That what he does best, always has been, since high school. I should know I live where he grew up and am a huge PSU fan as well. I have watched him play football literally his entire career.
He'll still get some plays at LB, they won't totally take that away from him. He's too valuable a chess piece not to move him around sometimes.
But he should be attacking the ball 85-90% of the time.

He needs to be rushing the passer as much as he can for sure, but when we play philly dont be suprised if he is back in the middle keeping Hurts legs from killings us.

Parson is being used as he should. As a Rover. You don't know where he is going to be? You can't game plan for him. Putting him at DE 100 percent is not the answer for his career or talent.

He does not play DE full time. He’s not a hand in the dirt edge setter on run downs thus why he moved to LB in rush defense looks.

Full time pass rusher has more merit but a DE does a lot more than just pass rush.

We (and the media) throw around the word “elite” a lot… but In the true sense of the word, Micah is an elite pass rusher. He has a knack for it, understands leverage from his wrestling background, and has truly rare physical tools.

He truly is unbelievably great at getting to the QB. Move him around all you like, but send that guy after the QB as often as you can because he will win a lot games for you doing that.

He is a fantastic athlete but is he built to sustain constant pounding from a double team of 300 pounders?

Can Parsons sustain this for the length of an entire season? What will be his condition going into the playoffs?

In addition, do we want offenses to be able to key on him?

In our haste to enjoy his pass rushing abilities, are we potentially missing out on other desirable skills?

Maybe. When we play teams like the Eagles who have a dangerous running QB, I think he will do quite a bit of spying and going after them when he sees an opening.
